Having used a range of sketchbooks over the years, some of which never get much beyond the first couple of pages, this is the best I've had for carrying around and general use. Smooth paper, perfect for the super fine ballpoint I like to use but thick enough to take light watercolor washes if required. All the pages open flat, and it's well made too, it feels like it will survive bumping around in a bag. I used moleskine before..lovely but expensive and you feel like you have to be perfect using them. With this pad I don't mind doing daft things and wasting paper, or gluing things in. It's a really lovely little book, and the square 12x12 size is a refreshing change too. I will be getting more!

Good quality item. Decent quality paper, can use a variety of media on the paper such as alcohol markers and a light wash of watercolour. Paper is nice and smooth. Fits in my back pocket (just) so I carry it everywhere with me.

Packed properly

I was super on the fence on if I wanted to get this or not. I had just gotten a huge sketchbook, and already had an 8x8 sketchbook. I almost just got the A5 one, but the yellow color just called to me, and I'm glad I got it. It's an adorable sketchbook, and you can fit so much more than you think on the page! It doesn't bleed from one page to the next, I can toss it in my bag and go, and its so awesome for many different types of mediums. I've used watercolor, color pencil, and acrylic marker on it so far. I haven't tried out alcohol markers, but with how it handles the thick Pilot V-sign pens I feel like it would handle them no problem. When I'm not feeling great I like taking it out and just doing silly doodles or collages to make myself feel better. It's such a delight. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a sketchbook that isn't a daunting task you feel like you need to be perfect.
