Perfect, except it doesn't save radio stations and sometimes needs help to sync up to devices (i.e. start the syncing process again as it doesn't always remember the device as it should do). Other than that, a brilliant stereo :)

My MK5 Golf radio was playing up and I wanted to replace it with something that would let me play my extensive collection of MP3 files and also included a decent hands-free system.In these modern days of huge memory sticks, bluetooth and media players I saw no need to cling onto the 'CD player in the car' thing, and went "mechless".I bought this unit - which is intended as a straight swap for the VW unit.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JEWVGE4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1Delivery was quicker than expected and the unit arrived with a fascia adapter, wiring harness adapter and antenna adapter.My good friend 'Youtube' showed me how to remove the old unit so I set about installing the new.First problem was fitting the fascia adapter. It would not seat properly. After a bit of comparison to the old unit I snipped off 2 small plastic tabs from the VW fascia and in it went, though if I'm honest the fit is not fantastic.When it came to wiring up the unit there are actually 2 harness adapters, which adds a bit of confusion, but just fit everything together that you can.The VW unit has 2 antenna sockets whereas the Alpine only has one. If you are interested the VW has one antenna on the roof and one in the rear window, and the VW radio selects the best signal. If you are not interested, don't read that last bit.I just chose one and connected it.You need a switched live and a ground to finish off (which I took for the 12v accessory socket with "scotchlock" connectors) , and I was ready for testing. The switched live ensures that when you remove the key from the ignition the radio switches off, preventing you from killing your battery.Don't forget to ensure that all like-coloured leads from the different adapter harnesses are connected together or you could end up wasting time (and breath) searching for power with a meter (as I did).The radio powered up and sounded OK so on to the next bit.I called a friend and tested out the bluetooth system , moving the microphone to different positions to get the best sound, then I ran the cable through various nooks and crannies, finally mounting it with the supplied adhesive pad in front of the instrument cluster.With everything working I re-assembled the dashboard panels and went for a driveBit of advice for you novice installers - check everything works before you put all the panels etc back in place. It could save you serious heartache when you switch on and end up looking at a blank screen.Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this unit.The sound is much better than the old VW unit and it is fairly feature rich in comparison.FM reception is better, the Aux in and USB work well and the streamed music from my phone is as good as I've ever heard by Bluetooth.I leave a fully loaded 'stumpy' 32GB USB stick in the unit all the time - it's low profile is ideal for this unit, but now that my FM reception is so much improved I don't use the stick quite so much.Sound is rich giving you that feeling that you are right in the middle of it making the drive to work almost a pleasure.I need to play around a bit with the buttons to fully explore the capabilities, but up to now - no regrets.Pros;Fuller, richer soundUSB, Bluetooth and Aux inHands-free calling with voice controlIts an AlpineCons;Fascia adapter - poor fitEcho on bluetooth handsfreeTrack Navigation options seem limited.

To be fair, it's a good wee unit but it stopped working after a month or so. Kept switching off, blamed it on my van initially but got another stereo fitted and it's fine. Unfortunately too late to return the Alpine. Not happy with that one month return rule.

bought this from halfords, i have audi a3 2005 i needed to run an ignition pive to make that work and buy face adapter and harness adaptor. Finaly got it all together radio dont work needed 15£ adaptor got that in there still radio is crap, bluetooth is quite good but mic while speaking is crap

L'Alpine in oggetto, credo che sia stato uno degli acquisti più sensati fatti da me on-line. Ho installato l'Alpine su una Ypsilon vecchio tipo, ed ho trovato l'apparecchio MOLTO potente, troppo per gli altoparlanti a corredo della Ypsilon, e già in quella fase avrei dato 4 stelle, è bastato cambiare gli altoparlanti (solo gli anteriori) e mettere dei due vie più potenti e di qualità e ne è uscito un suono inaspettato, veramente ottimo su tutte le frequenze, bassi profondi ed alti cristallini. La parte che riguarda la radio è stupenda, stupenda perchè ho una ricezione ottima e non ho neppure l'antenna, me la rubano in continuazione ed ho deciso di non riacquistarle, visto che ho una buona ricezione. E pensare che avevo acquistato l'autoradio sopra a tutto per la funzione Bluetooth. Il Bluetooth?... Va benissimo, ti aggancia subito prima di entrare in auto, a patto che tu lo abbia attivato sullo smartphone e poi puoi decidere, decidere di ascoltare anche musica, nel caso ti fossi dimenticato la chiavetta USB in casa. Per quanto riguarda AMAZON, perfetta come sempre, consegne in due giorni ed imballi perfetti, eppoi ti accudiscono anche in seguito nel caso tu non fossi contento dell'acquisto e lo volessi rendere al venditore. 5 stelle anche ad AMAZON

Se escucha genial, coge muchas emisoras.La calidad se nota en botonera, tiene muchos ajustes incluido la intensidad luminosa para conducción nocturna.El mejor autorradio que he tenido jamas.El bluetooh cumple sobradamente, el micro es externo, tienes que instalarlo cerca de la cabeza, el cable es largo y llega sin problemas.Lo recomiendo a todas luces, y el precio buenísimo.

Première impression au déballage : la qualité perçue est loin des standards de la marque telle qu'on a pu la connaître dans les 1990 ou 2000. Mais bon le prix n'est pas le même non plus...L'installation se fait rapidement si vous êtes un peu bricoleur, car le placement du micro déporté (fourni) peut être délicat selon la voiture. Dans ma vieille Clio société ça m'a pris environ 15 min.Côté fonctionnalités tout est là, la radio est très efficace avec toutes les subtilités du moment (PTY, TA, TP, etc), 3 bandes FM donc 18 stations enregistrées en tout, et surtout le téléphone bluetooth est diablement efficace, on entend son interlocuteur comme s'il était dans la voiture (et réciproquement).Un point très positif : le téléphone bluetooth reste actif même en éteignant l'appareil, là où d'autres autoradios le coupent. Donc si vous ne voulez plus de musique vous recevez quand même les appels. Bien sûr tout s'arrête avec le contact coupé.La lecture MP3 sur clé USB est impeccable, j'utilise des clés low-profile de 8 Go avec une vingtaine d'albums encodés en 320 kbit/s et c'est parfait.Attention, selon la connexion ISO sur votre véhicule il faudra peut-être batailler avec les +12V et les +12V/ACC (après contact) du faisceau fourni, sinon vous perdrez les réglages de l'autoradio chaque fois que vous couperez le contact. Mais c'est commun à tous les autoradios.Bref pour l'instant je suis pleinement satisfait, à voir ensuite dans le temps ce que ça va donner.

Habe mich nach langer Suche für dieses Gerät aus folgenden Gründen entschieden: kein DVD/CD-Laufwerk, IPod- und USB-Stick Steuerung per Radiotasten mit Ordner-/Titelanzeige im Display, Bluetooth Freisprecheinrichtung (Parrot) mit Anzeige im Display und besonderer Eignung für Nokia Handys. Die rote Displayfarbe ist für mein Empfinden dezent und passt in meinem Kfz ganz gut. Die Lieferung des Radios beinhaltet alles was zum Einbau erforderlich ist, d.h. Metallrahmen sowie ordentliche Verkabelung mit steckbaren Plus-und Dauerpluskabeln, falls wie in meinem Fall die beiden Anschlüsse aus Kfz-spezifischen Gründen getauscht werden müssen. Lediglich ein Antennenadapter muss zusätzlich gekauft werden. In meinem Fall benötigte ich fahrzeugspezifisch eine Radioblende und eine Frequenzweiche zusätzlich. Der Einbau war unproblematisch. Die Bedienungselemente machen im Vergleich mit/Gegensatz zu anderen Angeboten einen hochwertigeren und nicht ganz so "billigen" Eindruck. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist sehr ausführlich, eine knappe "Kurzanleitung" mit den wichtigsten Einstellungen quasi "auf einen Blick" wäre beim Einbau und der ersten Inbetriebnahme m.E. aber praktischer, da die Feinabstimmung eh erst später erfolgt. Fazit: Gutes Gerät mit tollen Klangeigenschaften, guter Verständigung beim Telefonieren und ansprechendem aber unaufdringlichem Design. Das Ganze zu einem guten Preis. Würde das Gerät wieder kaufen.

Pues la verdad es que es justo lo que necesitaba. Una radio para el coche sencilla de manejar, funcional, con bluetooth, entrada auxiliar, puerto USB tanto para leer mp3 como para cargar el móvil y función manos libres.El micrófono es externo de cable, por lo que tienes que pasarlo por debajo del volante del coche y colocarlo en el parasol del conductor. Pensé que iba a ser más difícil instalarla, pero a pesar de que yo no tengo práctica, en media hora ya la tenía funcionando. Muy fácil y sencillo. El manos libres se escucha y te escuchan fenomenal y la calidad de audio típica de Alpine. Yo la verdad es que estoy encantado con esta radio, estoy planteándome comprar otra igual para el otro coche que tengo.
