I use these for a radio in the kitchen and replace as required with four others in turn around, e.g 4 in radio and 4 in reserve fully charged.

Will the EBL5000 battery fit a standard torch please?

I estimate that these batteries are about 0.7 mm longer than the standard 'D" size battery. If you need to stack 3 in a row as I did, that amounts to 2.1 mm longer than standard !! I disagree with a previous answer which says all 'D' size will fit equipment requiring 'D" size batteries. Mine didn't !!!

One of the cells bought in the last month has become faulty. How do i get one replacement?

you will have to contact the seller and explain your problem. they will probably ask you to return the faulty battery so that they can test it themselves and then issue a replacement should it prove to be a battery rather than a user fault.

Handy and still going over a year later

Nice package of batteries and charger. A year later the batteries are still charging to full capacity. Loving the charger as you can keep adding batteries, removing the ones fully charged, as each battery station has its own digital readout. Only (very minor) neg is its hard to see the plus and minus in the charging dock. I’ve outlived it in white permanent pen.

Just what I needed

Our doorbell came with the house. It is a bit esoteric and requires 4 C type batteries to power it. The old set has lasted pretty well but they are not holding their charge very well any more. Enter this set of 4 EBL rechargeable batteries.I have used EBL batteries before and was able to use a multi-charger that came with a set of their AA batteries to top this set up. They are now installed in the doorbell and working perfectly. I chose this set because I know from my other EBL batteries and the product details that they hold their charge for long periods. We wanted to use rechargeable batteries both on cost and environmental grounds. The doorbell uses very little power and therefore it can be something like 3-6 months between charges. Therefore, one needs the batteries to hold their charge for at least that long.Time will tell how well they perform but I am fairly confident that they will do the necessary based on my experience with EBL's AA batteries.These rechargeable batteries are not particularly cheap but they do make sense based on there ability to be recharged and reused for a number of years. It is also worth saying that compared to other similar rechargeable batteries they are not expensive either. I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend these and other EBL batteries. They generally strike a good balance between price and performance.

Good, but standard alkaline batteries last much longer
