As the name says it's a DVI to VGA cable, if you don't know what that means you likely don't need one, but if you do, then you are in the right place. The cable just a cable that does what it says on the tin and does it just fine with what at least seems to be quality parts. For those like me who don't know for sure and worry about this, the DVI side is the sort with all the little pins together as possessed to the ones with the middle ones missing, and doesn't have the little pins around the bigger long bit. The image came in slightly offset when I used it but this may be something to do with my rig and it was easily fix by simply adjusting my monitor settings.

Only needed temporarily while I wait for new graphics card to come in, works well.

***DVI OUT/SOURCE TO VGA MONITOR ONLY***I learned the hard way monitor connectors are only unidirectional and some sellers hide that fact. Beware Second monitor for old Dell monitor to a new 2024 tower. Dell monitor had VGA or dport inputs. My only other tower outputs we're hdmi or dvi. If you look for proper connections a hdmi out to dport in are unidirectional and expensive. Ive never used dvi out but i decided to try this. Everything works great, easy to install, connectivity is as it states, it fits both DVI setups, and most importantly it is inexpensive. Highly recommend it if you're stuck with minimal options with the older monitors

I bought two of these cables, one for me and one for my sister, and in short only one work. I'm too lazy to return it for a refund so I'm just going to keep it. Quality wise, for the one that works it works great, just hope that you get a functional one when you order from here.
