This product is inferior, does not have enough adhesive on it, driving wood veneer temp up therefore making it brittle to trim.

Thank you for your question. At present The Real Wood Workshop does not offer samples, although this is certainly within our pipeline for the start of 2021. In the meantime we do suggest simply ordering the product in out 7.5m length and returning to Amazon if unsuitable. Please also note that colours and grains can vary slightly from tree to tree so not all products from the same species will be indentical. This is to be expected with real wood. Will this colour the same as my oak desk when I add a dark wax?

We would be unable to advise as we do not know the oak species, cut or tone of your desk. We advise experimenting with multiple waxes or use a furniture repair finishing kit, as these offer multiple wax samples. Again, please experiment with the edging prior to affixing it to see which wax provides best colour match result. We hope that helps, The Real Wood Workshop.

I have this in my workshop. It’s white oak and a good match to all white oak board I have. Not dark or pink.
