After automating my home with lights, cleaners and other gadgets, it was time to automate the cats! There is a a serious point here, lugging tons of cat litter around and working 12 hour days means although cleaning the litter tray is a chore all cat owners take on, it did fall on the 'things to fall off the to do list' with obvious results. Also getting rid of waste of two house cats was getting to be difficult as the sheer weight of the litter tended to over stretch the capacity plastic bags used by the council for rubbish collection. Here we have a light weight solution that comes in its own disposable box. Its not like normal litter and I did have concerns that the cats - both of which are not known for liking change to their routine - wouldn't adapt. However they took to this immediately and I have had no adoption issues. They also like the little rake which scoops up the poop and puts it in the little box at the end and wait and watch for this event to happen. (Oh to be a cat!). There is no smell at all and you wouldn't know I have two house cats when coming into the house at all. Each box lasts both of the cats around 9 days. This is more expensive that normal litter of course as I am paying £46 a month for litter rather than £24 a month. However for my personal circumstances this is worth the extra 65p a day. There is a cheaper option with a plastic container and refills, so if you are consider this too expensive I would say check out that other option. In short then, a good product that the cats adapted immediately to and that means I don't have to change the litter on a daily basis.

Recently brought a self cleaning litter tray that used these refills. The product functions brilliantly. I’ve been to friends homes who use ordinary litter trays and it makes your home stink really bad. But with this product you hardly notice the smell at all. The blue crystals dehydrate the no.2’s and prevent the smell and absorbs the no.1’s and the Crystals seem to break down to a powder which gets covered by the unused crystals when the litter box cleans itself. Personally I scoop out the poops every couple of days just for maintenance and I’m getting 3-4 weeks out of a tray with one cat. Only problem with this product is the replacement crystals are crazy expensive so I don’t k ow how the cost compares to normal litter. But if you subscribe to the product to get 3 trays every 3 months it slightly reduces your costs which is something to consider when your buy one. But I’m very happy with this product and so is my cat.

My cat and I live in a retirement flat on the second floor. The outside doors are locked with key fobs to open them; so he can't go outside when he wants to. I first tried a conventional litter tray, but the smell was horrible and i was forever cleaning it; so I bought this one. It's quite expensive, buying three at a time, but one tray lasts about a month, there is no smell and, apart from changing to a new box once a month, there is no cleaning, either. The silicone chips absorb fluid keeping everything dry. The cat likes it and so do I. A good invention!

I have bought the crystals separately previously and I've also paid extra and bought the PetSafe ScoopFree Replacement Crystal Cat Litter trays. In truth there's little difference other than there's less fuss with the replacement litter tray but it is more expensive. However you can’t go on forever emptying and adding replacement crystals - it does get messy which defeats purpose of purchase and the cardboard tray can only be used no more than twice before it falls apart. I guess it depends on how tight is your budget. The most important thing to remember is that the crystals do work, are absorbent and there's no whiff. I've just changed the tray after nearly a month in which my cat stopped by her PetSafe ScoopFree Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box 78 times. I paid nearly £22 for a couple of bags of crystals and nearly £45 for three trays of crystals. I'll let you work out the maths! In conclusion this is a great product, the self-cleaning litter box is wonderful and the cat is happy. But the crystals come at a price and rising in cost!

First things first, this is expensive compared to traditional cat litter trays, no doubt about it. 1 tray lasts 1 cat 3 weeks if you are lucky, not 4-6 weeks. But if you can afford it, it's a god send. There is zero smells from it. I can't stand scooping poop and fast building ammonia smell of traditional trays so this is 100% worth it. I think a middle ground would be the reusable tray, but I've never seen it for sale in the UK. You could then buy a much cheaper bulk bag of crystal litter elsewhere, you don't need this brand. But the trays are convenient for now.

I AM LOCKED INTO THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE I CANNOT MANAGE AN OLD FASHIONED LITTER TRAY. PETSAFE APPEAR TO HAVE A MONOPOLY OF THE MARKET. WE CAN ONLY HOPE THAT ELASTICITY OF DEMAND MECHANISMS ULTIMATELY REDUCE THE RETAIL PRICE. 27/04/2025 ANOTHER HUGE PRICE RISE. i HATE THIS FIRM AND ITS GROSSLY OVERPRICED MERCHANDISE. MISLEADING WORDING ALSO TRICKS YOU INTO DOUBLE ORDERING IN ONES EFFORTS TO GET A DISCOUNT ON THE MONSTROUS PRICE. CIRCUMSTANCES DO NO ALLOW ME TO CHOOSE A CHEAPER AND MESSIER SOLUTION TO THE CAT LITTER PROBLEM SO I CARRY ON PAYING THE EXTORTIONATE PRICE. THE MAFIOSI MANUFACTURER WILL NO DOUBT ULTIMATELY COME UNSTUCK BUT FOR THE MOMENT THEY HAVE THE OLD AND THE HANDICAPPED BY THE THROAT.

Good enough product, great absorbency. I’ve two cats using the tray and it can get messy with them jumping out. The worst thing about the trays are the cost they are expensive so looking for cheaper alternatives.

The quality of the product is great. However, as we have underfloor heating and the automated system just toasts The dung, which is not great, is going to be decant to my daughter's bedroom, back to pooper scooping !!!!!

Effettivamente asciuga subito e non fa odori. Usata nella lettiera autopulente è molto comoda. Con il mio gatto adulto di circa 7kg dura una quindicina di giorni. Ottima la sostituzione: viene fornita con una scatola che fa da contenitore, a fine vita si mette il coperchio e si butta quindi si apre una nuova scatola. Molto utile e comoda. Nota negativa il costo delle scatole di ricambio che è piuttosto alto (ed è aumentato ultimamente).

Esta muy bien pero es caro!! La bandeja reutilizable no está disponible y sería una buena opción y poder comprar solo los cristales.

Leider in letzter Zeit wirklich verdammt teuer geworden hatte mit dem Produkt angefangen da lag es bei 50Euro heute sind wir bei 70 nächstes Jahr dann bei 90? Super Produkt aber der Preis ist einfach lächerlich. Finde ich eine ähnlich gute alternative war es das mit diesem auf jeden Fall. Für Neukunden Bleibt einfach gleich von dem Produkt fern Absolut keine Kaufempfehlung.
