Perfect way to add USB ports
I added a front panel USB and SD card reader that took up the main 19 pin USB connector on my motherboard, so was looking for an option to add another 19 pin connector. I had a few USB connectors that were part of my PC case that also needed the 19 pin hook up and I didn’t want them to just be dead. Easy to install, showed right up in BIOS and device manager and worked right away.

Works great but WILL NOT PLAY NICE in an x16 slot!
UPDATE: Upgrading this from 4 stars to 5. Confirmed that the below issue only happens with older BIOS boards. Flashed the BIOS and everything is all right.Found It works phenomenally. BUT ONLY IF you plug it into a PCIe x1 slot. If you plug it into an x16 slot, IT WILL cause a conflict with your GPU! I had to plug this into the second x16 slot on my MOBO because my video card covers the only other x1 slot available and OH BOY HOWDY... my GPU drivers didn't like that very much, I tell ya! If you do what I did, your video drivers will see both devices and have a hissy fit. And here's the best part... after I figured this out and removed the USB card, there's still some sort of residual configuration in the OS that still creates the conflict and won't install my GPU drivers! I have to wipe this PC and start from scratch. Again... great if you load it onto a x1 slot. But for the love of mercy, don't be a hot shot and try to plug this into an x16 slot.

As advertised.
I wanted a faster USB device however I only had a PCIe 1x available on my motherboard. Faster than this is not possible on a PCIe 1x slot though. This is a 5 Gbps device and with a proper component attached to it probably is. However, I got this to use with my Oculus. When I test this for Oculus link I get 2.3 Gbps and that is the same result as other ports on my motherboard that are rated much faster. This shows that the limiting factor is the Oculus itself or the cable. Either way the result is good for using this with Oculus as it gets the green go mark in the test. This also allowed me to connect my front panel Type C outlets. Those test to 1.8 instead of 2.3 Gbps and I suspect they are slightly slow due to my case rather than because of the card. Oculus still reports that my front panel USB-C connections are fine though. Any direct connection to the card is faster.I use this card with my Oculus. I tend to rip out my USB cord accidently and rather risk damaging a replaceable card than the other ports on my computer. I was super easy to install on windows 11 and have no problems with it. Some devices will be limited by the speed but that would be rare. I see other reviews expecting 10 Gbps or more and this card was not designed or advertised for that. As far as I can tell this a cheap functional alternative and does what it should.

If you need this for 1 day, then its perfect. Otherwise no.
Worked flawless for 1 day. Then after a reboot. Never worked again. i till see the device for a few minutes, then disconnect. Terrible product.

Fast, easy install
I had a motherboard without a USB-C header and I had a case with a USB-C port on the front panel, so I chose this card to bridge the gap. It has two different internal interfaces for case ports, so it is pretty close to a universal solution. Windows 11 recognized the card and all of the ports worked without any additional configuration on my part.I don't think that it is possible to have too many USB ports and I welcome the four additional USB 3.x ports this will add to the back of my new PC. I am pretty sure that I had under 10 minutes of effort into getting this going and I was very happy with how quickly this helped resolve my issues.

Simple
I received the product today. It came with two screws for easy mounting into the case. The usb 3 internal connector for the front IO was a little hard to insert. But eventually it did go in.However the USB-C internal connection is very, very fragile, make sure your USB-C cable from the front IO is long enough. I inserted the cable and as I was putting it back into the PCI-e slot the cable bent the port on the card. Ripping the support pads off; on both sides. I re-adjusted the cable and pads and re-inserted. I powered on my computer and tested my front IO, including the USB-C connector, which I am happy to say did work.I did not need to use the included CD-rom driver disk. Windows automatically installed the drivers for me.

Quick and Satisfying Exchange
This device did not work for my setup. Nothing wrong with device, just did not work as my computer is too old and I am trying to upgrade as best I can without spending too much. Easy, simple, polite return.

Great update for an old motherboard
Works mostly as advertised. All of the rear ports work fine. The internal usb c header works, but the internal usb 3.0 header seems to not be functioning.I’ll try finding drivers to make sure it’s not that and update my review if I get them working.
