I bought these to fit to my hybrid bike - I wanted something that worked but could be removed quickly if the mood took me. I did a lot of research before opting for these - 4 years later I stand by my decision! These mudguards from SKS are the usual high quality product that I have come to expect. All the fixtures needed are in the package including clear self-adhesive strips that can be used to protect the cycle frame: do not forget to use these! These mudguards are designed to fit cycles that do not have eyes for stays etc. they do this very well; the mudguards are fairly light and as a bonus really do look good. The mudguards themselves attach using rubber clamps and stays set in plastic mounts. Initial attachment is straight forward but you will likely spend time fine-tuning the fit (I spent a silly amount of time adjusting the clearance between tyre and mudguard to get the 'right look'). I managed to get the front mudguard to pass through the forks and so the front brakes are also protected (some reviewers have said this is not possible - clearly, the width of the forks and the mudguards is something to check in this regard). Once everything is to your liking, small bolts tighten everything in place; from then on it is a relatively simple process to remove or replace the mudguards on the same bike as require. In use, the mudguards do not rattle and they stay in place. As far as protecting you and your bike goes - they are very very efficient. The mudguards keep me noticeably drier (and cleaner). Although not quite long enough to fully protect the front mech, they do reduce significantly the amount of road crud that gets accumulated on a ride in wet and muddy conditions. Effectiveness is enhanced by the small flexible mud flaps on each mudguard - I was tempted to remove this but in retrospect, I am very glad I left them in place. I'm delighted with this quality product. They have stood the test of time and still look good. Very highly recommended.

I wanted some mud guards that I could place on and take off fairly easily and these fit the bill. I went for the XL version (which is slightly wider and can therefore accommodate wider tires than the normal version) and they fit well. They do move around a bit with all the pot holes on the roads these days, so sometimes I have to re-adjust to make sure that they are not touching the wheels. The only gripe I have is that one of the nuts fell out of one of the retainers and now the spoke that holds the rear mud flap in place often comes out of the holder, and I can't find a spare. *Seller - feel free to so send me some spares*. Overall, does the job well; covers up more of the wheel (back and front) than most other non-permanent options, but not quite as much as the permanent ones. Happy.

My 26" wheel road bike has very narrow tyres and forks, so traditional full mud guards are not an option. These SKS Raceblade Pro mud guards perfectly fitted my bike, without having to be placed between the forks. They are placed on the forks and simply secured with an adjustable rubber strap. Then, the most fiddly bit (not really fiddly, just takes time to get the alignment correct). There are 4 small bolts to losen (allen key provided), 2 on each side of the mud guard. Then you can adjust the distance of the guard from the tyre and the position around the tyre - close enough to the forks to be effective, but not too close to knock against them. The front and rear guards are similar, with the rear one being slightly longer. In use there is little or no noticable vibration and are very effective at reducing splash from the wheels to the rider. As the rear guard is not full it doesn;t help much with reducing splash to a closely following bike, but that's not much of an issue for me. They look great, with a shiny black finish, and are of a solid construction - overall I am very pleased with these.

Prompt delivery and wellpackaged. Instructions were easy to understand and they took about five minutes to fit. Absolute quality and best functional (quick release) mudguards I have used. They do not look out of place on the bicycle. Highly recommended.

I fitted these before riding from Lands end to London as a precaution just in case it rained...... Well it absolutely chucked it down for four days solid. These were fitted to my Giant Defy which after fitting 28's didnt have clearance in the fram for regular guards. I wasnt sure how good they would be as the rears stop at the brakes. They performed brilliantly fending off water from spraying over my bottom and shorts, plus the from protected my shoes. They are a bit of a faff to fit taking a while and a good measure of patience to get right so they are a close fit to retain the water but don't rub when they move slightly. They secure with rubbers but i also added cable ties in the slots provided. They have stayed secure since 1000+ miles. I will happily recommend these guards to bikes that have no lugs or clearance for conventional mudguards.

Fit very well on my Carrera bike, the plastic looks quite resistant. After a couple of months they become flimsy and on a bumpy road moved from the original position. I sometimes have to stop and readjust them.
