Manic Panic Classic After Midnight Blue Semi-Permanent Hair Dye (118ml)

This is the first time I've used Manic Panic hair dye, my usual being.Roche Directions. However, I fancied a change and liked the selection of colours. So I plumped for After Midnight Blue as I've never been blue before and Purple Haze, I had always been told that blue fades really badly and quickly. However, after using this colour and washing my hair 3 times, I haven't noticed that much of a fade in hair colour. This maybe because I firstly stripped out any old colour with Manic Panic bleaching kit and then let my new colour set, I ended up leaving it on for a couple of hour which didn't damage my hair but did leave a really intense colour which I'm really pleased with. It is really easy to apply, in fact at the same time I also coloured part of my hair purple with Manic Panics Purple Haze, the colours didn't mix into one, even though after putting the colours on I wrapped my hair in clingfilm. If you've never tried Manic Panic, I would recommend it, it certainly has impressed me, if you like Roche Directions you will like Manic Panic. Update: - Since using the two colours I have found that the colour is 'slipping' off my hair in parts, so I keep getting patches of bleach, I've never had this happen before, fading yes, but colour refusing to remain on my hair is new. It's easy enough to add more colour, but it's a bit of a hassle, it might just be me, but ......

UPDATE: The third picture is after 3 shampoo and conditioner washes. Its faded a lot in a short amount of time but it is semi-permanent so I'm not surprised. I still like how it looks and would buy again! I had virgin medium brown hair and decided to go a dark denim blue because of boredom in quarantine. I have looked long and hard for a dye thats VEGAN (doesn't test on animals) and will dye brown hair WITHOUT BLEACH. This has literally turned my hair in to the exact shade I wanted (It looks a bit more blue in person than in the pics) and I haven't ruined my hair in the process. PLUS I only used half the tub for my length of hair so I have enough for another head when this wears off! Will update my review as it fades. Notes for dying: USE PETROLEUM EVERYWHERE. I used tons and I still look like a smurf. Also make sure you brush it through with a brush you dont care about. It gets super dry and knotty and it really helps make it even. As I have brown hair and didn't want to pre-lighten it I left the dye on for 3 hours instead of 30 minutes. Good luck!

If your hair is light brown and you don't want to bleach it - it's the right colour for you. Rather than being the colour presented by the seller, which you're only gonna achieve with bleached hair, it gives you this nice (imho tasteful) denim blue, depending on the undertones in your hair. It might be that the warmer the undertones, the more green hue you're gonna get as it washes out - my hair has rather cold undertones. I left the dye on for just over 2 hours, as the strand test showed half an hour is just not enough. It didn't damage my hair at all. HOWEVER please don't skip the part where it tells you to protect your hairline and neck with petroleum jelly (or sudocrem in my case) and wear gloves, because it stains A LOT, and within SECONDS, and you don't want to look like Papa Smurf, do you? I also wore a plastic bag over my shoulders for the initial rinse, to protect my arms from being blue, as I'm quite pale. When it comes to staining the bathroom, I found using a regular shower cleaner removed it very easily.

bleeds twice as much and twice as long as other colours form manic panic. beautiful colour, dont get me wrong, but be prepared to have everything your hair touches be the exact same colour whether its wet or dry, the transfer is unholy, waking up with a blue face 3 weeks post-dye is actually impressive. you definitely cant say its not pigmented. luckily it does come off your skin with regular soap and warm water, it also comes out of fabric pretty easily and rarely stains, just transfers onto the surface of the item. therefore, i still buy this shade every now and then because i love the colour and most of my furniture and clothes are black so it doesnt really show up.

Would give zero stars if I could ! Its a permanent dye, not deep blue but more royal blue on day 1, wuth a week turn green. Which even bleach cannot remove. You coild only cover with dark brown or black to hide or cut hair off. Totally disgusted . Customer service of manic panic product is beyond unhelpful- when complained- with comments like “ blue dyes are notoriously difficult to remove. Not even acknowledging that this rubbish turns your hair green. In short you will pay the price of using this dye with severe damage to your hair.

This dyed dark brown hair really well. It’s lasted 4 shampoos so far and is still visible. It didn’t stain my skin or sink/shower at all either.

Colour is bright but bleeds SO MUCH. unless you want everything you touch to be stained do not buy

Love this midnight blue colour. Very rich colour deposit and makes hair super soft and shiny. I leave on for about 2hrs so colour is super rich. Fades to a nice light blue/turquoise on my hair too, some patches green but that's due to less bleach and I quite like the mermaid sea look. Wouldn't recommend on non bleached hair if you're brunette as looks more greeny black than blue.

C’est vraiment une coloration puissante cependant, si vous avez les cheveux très foncés voir noirs comme moi vous aurez tout votre corps bleu sauf vos cheveux. Genre vraiment j’ai pas une once de bleu dans mes cheveux même pas des reflets mais je peux vous dire que même ma baignoire s’est transformé comme si des Schtroumpfs s’étaient lavés dedans j’ai dû frotter + d’une heure avec du javel parce que ça ne part même pas avec un simple produit. En conclusion, essayez d’abord une décoloration puis appliquez ceci si vous voulez du vrai bleu nuit mais sinon ça ne marche pas et je ne voulais pas décolorer donc bon je me retrouve avec des cheveux encore plus noirs que mon avenir et des fesses bleus. Omg I’m so blown off by this! I never though the colour would be so magnificent and long lasting. While buying it I was skeptical whether it’d work on Indian hair or not. But damn this is some good stuff. It even made my hair so smooth and soft. Love this product

Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Molte recensioni riportano il problema delle macchie dovute a questa tinta, nonostante questo l'ho comprata per testarla personalmente. La tinta effettivamente macchia, soprattutto il collo i primi giorni, ma niente che non possa risolversi: basta usare un pò di acqua micellare e si pulisce facilmente. Attenzione però: macchia lo smalto semipermanente, e non va via! Ovviamente va applicata con guanti perché, nonostante l'acqua micellare, restano dei residui di colore sulle dita. Al momento sono passati 4 giorni e ho lavato solo frangia e parte della scalatura anteriore, e il colore è rimasto invariato. Aggiornerò la recensione per riportare la variazione del colore. Inoltre, per quanto riguarda la quantità, un barattolo da 118ml è bastato per applicare la tinta sulla tutta lunghezza dei capelli, ma consigliano due barattoli per capelli più lunghi. Per quanto riguarda il colore, avevo effettuato precedentemente una DECOLORAZIONE dal parrucchiere, (ho decolorato le punte dei capelli, che sono scalati) e una volta scaricato totalmente il colore blu applicato lì ( è diventato verde-grigiastro) ho deciso di provare questa. Quindi il risultato dipende anche dalla precedente decolorazione. Infatti in corrispondenza della porzione superiore, risulta essere più scuro, con solo riflessi blu.

Me tiño de fantasia desde hace mucho y he probado marcas y muchoss colores. Desde hace 2 años mi marca unica y preferida es Manic Panic. Por su carta de colores. Por su calidad. Por su durabilidad que es mucho mayor que otros (he llegado ha tener un color, aclarando con el tiempo claro, hasta 2/3 meses). Por la cantidad que trae en su formato. Y plr la fiabilidad de los tonos (muchos otros no tienen nada que ver con la publicidad) He probado rosas, morados, verdes y azules. Que destiñe las toallas y el cuello? Pues claro, es un tinte temporal. Otros manchan mucho mas. Que no agarra bien el tono? No estoy de acuerdo. Solo hay q saber usarlo, el nivel d decoloracion adecuado, el tiempo de exposicion y tipo d pelo Que se va pronto? Para nada. Ya digo q cuidando tipo d champu y acondicionador sin sulfatos y veces d lavado puede durar 2/3 meses. Que lo mancha todo y salpica? Para nada pues es cremoso para manejarlo con las manos. Asi q como siempre le doy 5 estrella. After Midnight es el ultimo usado, en una base azul celeste y turquesa mas otro lado negro. He de decir que me ha dejado un azul marino precioso. No negro azulado. Se nota prefectamente azul pero oscuro y frio. Incluso la parte negra sin decolorar tiene los reflejos
