Tomatoes were really small and had bottom rot this stopped it and made them bigger

My tomatoes have suffered with blossom end root for years. I will admit that I am a novice gardener and I truly have no idea what I am doing. I have fertilized, time my watering, added bone meal to no avail. As a last effort, I used liquid Cal-Mag. What a difference. No more BER. My harvest has increased and I'm now tomatoes for sandwiches instead of the compost pile
