What size gas bottles are normally used on these DIY welders?

You can use the very large bottle from BOC I used to have the next size down but the rental I’d a killer. So now I’m on the Hobby Weld 15 which is the middle bottle, but I wish I’d paid the extra and got the large one as it comes with a regulator. You only pay one for the bottle, a bit like your barbecue bottle rental.

Yes you need gas, type of gas depends on what you are welding as this machine is capable of welding Aluminium as well as steel. Gas bottles are not expensive, I run a 12.5kg Co2/Argon mix bottle which will last the occasional welder up to a year or more for £45.
