I bought this after an epiphany when I realised that the office equipment I have at work is much better than the stuff I had at home, but I often expect the same performance of both. Tiny little staplers you get at a pound shop are grand for staping a couple of sheets together, but after a while, you gorget where you put it, the staples bend, the thing gets jammed, and you waste time working out how to staple 30 sheets together in 6 bundles of 5. This thing punches staples through dozens of pages at a time, and you have the added bonus that it's difficult to lose under a pile of letters. It's probably handy if you need to clout a bear too. Takes special staples - make sure you buy thousands of them at a time, then you don't have to waste time looking for a shop that sells special staples or postage on frequently ordering them online in small quantities. Someday I will buy one of those things for dispensing sticky tape!

Like others who bought this stapler, I had stacks of paper to staple together and an ordinary stapler couldn't cope. I chose this stapler because of the price but mainly because it had very good reviews. Well, the reviews don't lie. The stapler is surprisingly small, the top lever lies almost horizontal to the base, so it doesn't take up a lot of visual room and the cast metal construction gives it a quality feel. The amazing thing about this stapler is how little effort it takes to staple large stacks of paper. I was prepared to lean heavily on the stapler to get the staple through 20+ pages, but it's just like using a normal stapler. Indeed, the first few times I had to check that the staple had gone all the way through as it seemed too easy to use. But no, it really is easy to use and you don't need to be a body-builder to use it. If you need a stapler, even if you don't need to staple 40 pages together, get this stapler: it can cope with just about every job you can think of for a stapler.

This stapler works brilliantly. It goes through 40+ sheets of heavy grade paper like with ease. It seems to be very sturdily built. It is heavy as would be expected of a robust bit of kit. I’ve not had it long, so it hasn’t had the test of time, but I would expect that if it’s treated and used correctly it will last for many years.

I was searching for a stapler that would allow me to staple 20-40 pages together easily. So when I came across this product, I thought what a crazy price for a stapler! I looked for a cheaper price or an alternative product without success. The other shops were charging double the price for this item! I could not believe how this product could have received nearly 14 five-star reviews. I thought this is too good to be true. I decided to go for it on the basis of other people's experiences which sometimes is not the best idea. However on this occasion it was right choice. Easily stapled together 20-40 page documents and looks solid. The staples provided are nice too. Therefore if you think the price is too high for a mundane product, think again. In the long run, if you staple regularly, it is worth it. However if you staple sporadically then I would suggest a really cheaper option. If you have the extra cash then go ahead. Overall, fantastic.

Very good stapler, overall easy to use. My one criticism is that it can be a little difficult lining up exactly where the staple is going to land given the design, but this is a rather minor issue given the overall quality.

I am the envy of all my colleagues in the office with this bad boy on my desk..... OK, so its not a very exciting office but trust me once you have used one of these you will realise what all the fuss is about. How many times have you had to slam your existing stapler against the side of the desk to free up a jammed staple? The Odyssey stapler never jams, holds loads of staples, staples through the thickest of documents with minimum effort and looks and feels like it will last a lifetime. I have been meaning to buy a heavy duty stapler for sometime now, and not got around to it because models I have looked at have been too large/heavy, or a bit more money than I felt inclined to pay. I decided to go for this one based on the good reviews on Amazon. - Well, here I am adding another good review. It is true what most folks say about it. It does indeed staple perfectly first time, no jams, no failing to fold the staple properly on the back. It works beautifully every time. It is not overly large or heavy, and does not require supreme muscle to get through a thickness of document, a moderately firm press does it every time. It is also good value, half the price of some other models I have looked at. I highly recommend this product, you won't be dissappointed.

This is IMO the best stapler you can buy. Is it the only one you should have? Probably not. This is why: This stapler works really good for large amounts of paper (over 10), but it also works for 3-5 pages (or even 2). I use a small, lightweight stapler for 2-5 papers and this for everything else. It works very reliable and doesn't jam and the whole unit is made very solid. I have one at home and have one on my office and my colleagues love it as well. I uses special staples, so be sure to order these right away as well.

Dieser Hefter ist ein Neukauf. Der Spezialhefter lässt sich durch seine schlanke Form sehr gut bedienen und überzeugt durch seine Heftleistung. Meine ersten Versuche mit "nur" 24 Blatt Papier waren mehr als positiv. Das Heften erfolgte absolut ohne Kraftanstrengung. Dieser Hefter beweist, dass es auch ohne Strom bzw. Batterien geht. Wegen seines geringen Gewichtes (540 g) kann er mühelos transportiert werden. Optisch ist er ansprechend, wenn dies auch keinen Einfluss auf eine Kaufentscheidung darstellt. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und kann den Hefter empfehlen.

Je suis déçu en effet. D'abord cette agrafeuse est énorme. Elle est plus adaptée à un usage professionnel qu'à celui d'un particulier. Mais le pire c'est qu'elle s'est avérée défectueuse : impossible de la faire fonctionner malgré tous mes efforts. J'ai donc demandé le remboursement, mais contrairement à beaucoup d'autres vendeurs, celui-ci ne m'a pas envoyé de document pour le retour gratuit. J'ai donc dû régler le port, et, comme le vendeur se trouve en Grande Bretagne, cela m'a coûté 16,75 euros. Dur, pour un article de 31,73 euros! Bien entendu, je déconseille vivement ce fournisseur.

Good but it's not all metal, note that the silver colored parts (handle and parts of the base + black back clip) are made of durable plastic. Overall it's sturdy and works good.
