LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace [DVD]

I bought this from Amazon for 3.00 GBP.It is GREAT VALUE. Yes it is only 20 minutes - with a couple of extras. But for the money you get your kids quiet watching a film that they like for action entertainment and you can watch for its tongue in cheek humour.The appearance of Darth Vader & George Lucas is worth it alone.My son is 6 and has watched it most days for the week after Christmas.It probably helps that he is a lego and Star Wars Clone Wars nut - but then why else would you look to buy this?If it was twice the price I would complain andf give it three stars for the money I can only say BUY IT NOW.

It's Lego and Star Wars - can't possibly go wrong! Great price for a DVD that has been watched over and over again and enjoyed by all ages. We notice something else funy in the background every time we watch it. It's a pity it's not longer but my sons (6&9) never grow tired of watching it. Brilliantly made, very funny and great for Lego or Star Wars fans of all ages.

I bought this after buying "The Empire strikes out". Although this was pretty funny and had lots of funny in jokes, etc, I don't think it was as slick as the Empire Strikes out and quite a few jokes went above my children's heads, whereas they understood them with the other film. If you were to get just one of the films, I wouldn't recommend this one over the other, but was still very watchable.

If you want the kids sitting down for a while this is the THING! filled with adventures, all the characters that boys loove! my son watches it four or five times straight!!! it is short though they should make it last at least an hour. very well made, the graphics are very good, im sure the whole family will enjoy it!

Our family are big Lego and Star Wars fans. We also love the Lego games and this is like watching the great cut scenes they have in the games. It's funny and has plenty for both kids and adults to enjoy. There are also lots of bonus features so there's lots to enjoy here. Would love to see more of these!

A fantastic DVD. Very funny and will amuse not only avid Star Wars fans, but everyone else who watches it. This is something you can watch over and over as you will pick up on different things each time. Definitely a must-have in your DVD collection.

I love all the Lego video games, so picking this up was always on the cards for me. The short is just that: very short, although it is fun while it lasts. It would be great to see Lego Batman or Lego Pirates of the Caribbean shorts in the future.

Diese DVD enthält mehrere animierte Kurzfilme aus dem Lego-Star-Wars-Universum. Im titelgebenden Kurzfilm "Die Padawan-Bedrohung" unternimmt Yoda während der Klonkriege mit einigen Jedi-Jünglingen eine Senatsbesichtigung. Gleichzeitig entkommt der Waisenjunge Han Solo seinen Wächtern und schließt sich zur Tarnung der Jünglingsgruppe an. Diese wird von den Droiden und Fremdenführern C-3PO und R2D2 begrüßt. Im Senat trifft Yoda auf Asaijj Ventress, die geheime Schlachtpläne der Republik gestohlen hat und diese an Count Dooku überbringen will. Yoda bekämpft und besiegt Asaijj, doch diese kann die Schlachtpläne einem Kampfdroiden zuwerfen, der mit einem Raumschiff entkommt. Yoda, Commander Cody und Han Solo verfolgen den Kampfdroiden mit einem Raumschiff nach Hoth und können ihm die Pläne nach etlichen Abenteuern wieder abnehmen. Die Jünglinge unternehmen auf eigene Faust einen Ausflug mit ihrem Raumschiff nach Tatooine, wobei C-3PO und R2D2 auf sie aufpassen. Leider sind sie damit heillos überfordert, denn die Padawane mischen die bekannte Cantina auf! Zwischendurch taucht immer wieder Darth Vader im Geschehen auf, wird aber jedes Mal von George Lucas zurückgepfiffen. Doch alle turbulenten Abenteuer enden versöhnlich auf Coruscant.Der Kurzfilm "Die Suche nach R2D2" erzählt ein weiteres spannendes Ereignis aus dem bewegten Leben von C-3PO und R2D2.Im Kurzfilm "Die Klonkriege: Die animierten Comics" werden verschiedene Kriegsereignisse aus der Sicht der beteiligten Klonsoldaten erzählt.Die beiden Kurzfilme "Star Wars in 2 Minuten" bieten eine rasante und humorvolle Nacherzählung der Episoden IV bis VI (Teil 1) und I bis III (Teil 2) in der genannten kurzen Zeitspanne.Im Kurzfilm "Jar Jar räumt auf" wischt Putzmann Jar Jar Binks den Fußboden der Tantive IV, als das Rebellenschiff von Sturmtruppen und Darth Vader überfallen wird. Darth Vader rutscht aus und bricht sich mehrere Gliedmaßen, während Jar Jar dem Überfall mit einem Raumschiff entkommt. Auf der Krankenstation kuriert Darth Vader seine Verletzungen und schickt Jar Jar Boba Fett hinterher. Jar Jar bemerkt den Kopfgeldjäger nicht einmal, sondern saugt mit seinem Supersauger herumliegende Legosteine auf und verursacht etliche Stürze und Verletzungen bei Boba Fett. Die turbulente Verfolgungsjagt endet auf Endor, wo Jar Jar den Supersauger auf "Auswurf" stellt, mit den herausfliegenden Steinen eine Bühne baut und als Rockstar auftritt, unterstützt von einer Ewok-Band und dem begeisterten Ewok-Publikum. Boba Fett und Darth Vader kurieren gemeinsam ihre Verletzungen aus.Ich empfehle diese CD allen Freunden der Lego-Animationsfilme und Lego-Computerspiele sowie allen Star-Wars-Fans mit Humor!

Mon fils de 2 ans a découvert les dessins animés Lego Star Wars sur Disney Channel.J'ai donc profité des petits prix sur Amazon pour pouvoir lui offrir les DVD.Ils sont super drôles, plein de clin d'œil aux films star wars.J'apprécie surtout le fait que ce ne soit pas violent !Les bonhommes ne meurent pas, ne se blessent pas, quand les bonhommes prennent un coup de pistolet laser ou sabre lazer, il tombe en petits cubes de lego, puis se remonte dans la seconde qui suit.Vraiment super marrant aussi bien pour les petits que les grands !Le seul hic, c'est que mon fils chantonne la marche impériale à longueur de journée maintenant hihihi

After watching (and loving) the LEGO Batman - DC Super Heroes Unite movie, I HAD to buy the Star Wars LEGO movies, too. They're little gems that I wasn't previously aware of. They have all of my favorite characters with their familiar personalities, yet they poke fun at them as well. They're equally fun for children and adults with inside jokes (a LEGO George Lucas stops by to chastise Darth Vader, Jar Jar Binks gets blown up, etc.).After watching the LEGO Batman movie, though, I was surprised that this Star Wars LEGO "movie" was only 22 minutes. However, if you watch all of the extras, you get about an hour's worth of programming, so it's still worth the price. The extra animated shorts with Star Wars LEGO characters are equally entertaining. There are two "Star Wars in 2 Minutes" shorts. One squeezes the first trilogy into 2 minutes, and the second squeezes the second trilogy into 2 minutes. Also included are "The Quest for R2-D2" and "Bombad Bounty" animated shorts. The second features everyone's favorite love-him-or-hate-him Gungan, Jar Jar Binks, being chased by Boba Fett.I look forward to many more LEGO character movies featuring well-known characters that poke fun at themselves.

After our recent trip to Disneyland (and multiple rounds on their Star Tours ride), our 5 year daughter has become a huge fan of Star Wars. Although she's incredibly curious about the actual Star Wars movies, they're just too intense for her sensitive nature so we sought alternative ways to let her explore the series. The Lego version satiates her curiousity in a safe, comical way. There are a lot of laughs for her and for her parents as they spoof events and characters from the actual movies. I would recommend this to any Star Wars fan, both young and not so young, looking for a fun twist on a classic series.
