Definitely works with my coral mix (SPS and LPS and softies)
All my corals are better for it ... For my system I had a good idea and that is add it to my top up water that I keep separate to the tank of course which means it drip feeds fluid constantly over a week or two without bashing it in one hit.. so I put a two week dosage in ... seems to work fine in my system... my corals seemed a bit shocked when I first put it in directly to the tank hence I took the slower drip method of my top up device ... make your own mind up
