The gameplay is just as bad as SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (2006) but with less glitches.

Shadow the Hedgehog is a Sonic game that features, you guessed it, Shadow the Hedgehog from Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Shadow still cannot remember anything - specifically, he can only remember his name and "that gruesome image", a memory of a girl named Maria being shoot by some G.U.N soldiers. A few minutes later, a group of aliens know as the "Black Arms" attack the Earth, and their leader, Black Doom, tells Shadow to find the seven chaos emeralds, before disappearing. Shadow decides he needs the chaos emeralds to unlock the truth to the past. Since there on, you choose how you play the game. Whether or not you want to be a hero or a villain, or if you want to be neither and ignore everyone to find the chaos emeralds. Depending on what you choose in-game, different levels are unlocked, all which lead to a different ending. Once you complete one ending, you can go back and choose different options to play different levels and unlock different endings. Unlocking all endings gives you the secret "Last Story" ending, which is considered to be the true ending. This works very well as it gives the game a very good replay value and makes it a longer game to enjoy for more time. The game controls well, Shadow is clearly skating instead of running but he plays perfectly, not too slippery, not too tight. The game features guns and vehicles to show how different Shadow is to Sonic and how he will do anything to get his memory back. Many people hate this game because of this "not belonging in a Sonic game", but honestly it suits Shadow. This is not a Sonic game, it is a much darker experience than that. My only major fault with this game is the cutscenes. The game constantly switches between in-game cutscenes and pre-rendered cutscenes. Pre-rendered cutscenes look fantastic, like HD on a console that can't play HD, and are a joy to watch. However, the in-game cutscenes don't look like anything special and therefore it feels odd to watch them right after a pre-rendered one. Overall, a great Sonic spin-off to offer a dark experience, and to be the great "odd one out" in the series. Must-have for teens and adults.

This is just a fantastic game a platform action game lots of levels brilliant action levels, so much fun and not too hard to complete the levels, its one of my faveriout action games and it gets better and better from the very first level of game playing, amazing graphics, lots of different worlds to visit, driving cars, robots and flying machines and shoot them up gun action, collecting keys, fighting acting, this game has it all, and its so, so, fun, and it is challenging, but achiveable. if you love action adventure games this is simply one of the best, and it will be one that you will enjoy for hours, and hours, buy it and see. Recommended!

Game came on time but the disc had a fair amount of scratches that made it unplayable, now need to find another copy that works.

It's almost impossible to talk about a list of disappointing video game sequels without discussing this bizarre monstrosity. Supposedly an attempt to to cash in on the popularity of Shadow the Hedgehog (think Sonic but with all the signifiers of '90s comic book anti-heroes), the game is a bizarre mish-mash of characteristics that wouldn't satisfy either fans of the character or interested new players. The game plays somewhat consistent with past Sonic games—Shadow is generally very fast and can turn into a speedy ball, but the game "innovates" on past games by adding a motorcycle and guns, along with a mercilessly painful control scheme, overwrought dialogue, and a bizarrely complex storyline. The game touts dozens of unique endings, but it's hard to imagine a player finishing the game once, let alone multiple times.
