Does this replace the px13? this is required for my super 8 camera

In a word possibly. It is a different voltage (Risky) its a non mercury cell and although the same size and shape you cannot be certain. Its worth a try, but at your risk always. There is an aftermarket adapter for around £30.00 - £50.00 but these are hard to find. Alternative is also Wein Cells but they are Zinc Air and once the tab is off they start losing the power and dont last long.

Is the battery in the picture actually a v 625 u? my dead battery looks different from that but it says v 625 u
