OXO Good Grips Large Silicone Flexible Turner

It has a huge base that holds a large surface-area of food. The edge is reasonably thin, allowing you to get under most foods. I've used it to flip fish, pancakes, omelettes and dosas (thin Indian lentil crepes) with very, very few food breakages so far. I've also lifted hot cookies off baking sheets without any crumbling. I suspect, although I haven't tried it, that the silicone coating is too thick to slide under French crepes. In months of regular use, I've experienced absolutely no melting or warping. This might be linked to the fact that I don't ever keep my silicone gadgets just sitting inside hot pans. Your experience may or may not differ if you tend to leave your utensils inside pans on the heat for lengths of time. It should be noted that this item is not dishwasher-safe. The silicone surface WILL absorb the scent of your dishwashing liquid over the course of a wash-cycle. How do I know? Call it an experiment that didn't work out too well! Thankfully, after a few weeks of steady use and washing by hand, the lingering lemony scent of freshness is gone and we're back to normal. All in all, a great product. I'm actually tempted to buy one more and keep it in reserve in case this specific model gets discontinued.

I’m really pleased with this wide-ended silicone food turner, that’s ideal for turning larger food items such as fish and omelettes in non-stick pans. I much prefer silicone utensils to nylon/plastic ones as I tend to find that even heat resistant plastics can begin to melt in thinner areas (such as at the tapered end of a turner), whereas silicone doesn’t have this problem. This is unusual compared to other silicone tools I own, as the end is just a thick layer of silicone, with no metal core. It’s pretty good, though: sturdy and flexible, and tapered all the way around the edge, not just at the tip – so this can be slid under food at the sides as well as at the end. The end of the handle is covered in soft grip silicone that feels pleasant to hold, and the handle has an integrated hanging loop.

Seems good so far, it's a little bendy so you can't pick up anything too heavy from the far end of the turner. As long as you load it onto the back of the turner's surface you should be fine. It manages to stay thin and still be safe to use in non-stick pans whereas a lot of silicone spatulas and turners seem to be quite thick.

This is by far the best turner I've ever had. Very sturdy, as it's silicone bonded to stainless steel. While it is large, it easily works on an 8in frying pan, and is perfect for turning basically anything, especially things like thin pancakes. Buy one.

No issues with this impliment, i ve used it on all my recent camping adventures, this is my favourite spatula to use, easy to clean, and has stayed flexable

Used this for the first time and was impressed with the actual spatula part but I left leaning against the side of the pan when I was finished and the handle material started to melt, glad I checked after a few mins or it would have been melted worse, pretty disappointed tbh considering the price,

Great for fried eggs and omelettes

Its got a nice area to lift burgers and fried eggs off the cooking surface, and a thin edge that allows it to slide under frying eggs (instead of pushing them around the pan). The metal handle (over which the silicone is molded has a nice weight and doesn't flex when lifting burgers or fried eggs. Easy to clean in the sink. I love using this when frying eggs or burgers.

The handle is comfortable to hold. It is nice and thin. Easy to side under the food. It is sturdy and versatile. Worth buying.

Grande spatule en silicone. Dimension de la partie silicone : de 7,5 à 10 cm en haut sur 15 cm de long. Légèrement souple pour attraper les parts de tarte, par exemple. ( N'est pas complément rigide comme le bois) Très bien pour les steaks dans les poêles à revêtement fragile. Agréable prise en main ( poignée en silicone aussi )

I had one for the last two years, and after intense use and abuse, it started to crack the silicon near the metal piece, where the large flat part attaches to the metal handler. I just bought a second one, just because how good it is.
