is there any wheat or gluten in this product

This product is NOT GLUTEN FREE. Please don't be confused by the two asafoetida products from Rani Foods. In spite of Rani Foods' claim, BOTH products contain gluten. Yes, Rani Foods has an asafoetida that does not claim to be gluten free. AND they have this second product, which explicitly says, on the jar, that it is gluten free. We purchased the allegedly gluten free product, tested it using the GlutenTox G12 antibody test (>5 ppm) and it was clearly positive for gluten. If you have celiac disease, or if you wish to avoid gluten for any reason, you must not use this product.

Has this dried resin been aged in fresh animal skins? I've learned that some manufacturers do this to augment the already powerful aroma

We do not use any animal products in the manufacturing or ingredient of any of our foods. The owners (myself being one of them) are devote vegetarians.

What percent of the product is asfoetida?

In the product photos, if you enlarge the photo of the back label, there is a list of ingredients and a contact phone number for the manufacturer. No idea on the percentage, but the product has worked excellent for me.

How strong is it ? i use to buy vandevi and lg brand. those also have higher stars but hing is not at all sting
