Mattel Games Skip-Bo, Ages 7+, 2-6 Players

We picked up a copy of the game in a charity shop years ago and played it so much the cards wore out. The game is great fun, easy to pick up and suitable for kids as well as grownups. The pacing of the game is good and you can adjust the length of the game by reducing/increasing the size of the initial stack. I'd strongly recommend getting a card shuffler for this - one that can handle 3 or more decks of cards. Not only will it keep the cards looking newer, but you do need to shuffle the "completed" pile quite a few times during the game to put them back in the draw pile and it's just easier with the shuffler.

An excellent game. Couldn't put it down to begin with, really quick and easy to play, family friendly. Reasonable sized box perfect for travelling or a games night at home.

Great game- but use far fewer cards in the piles or you will not have enough. Fewer cards makes quicker game so more games & more winners! But this game is a lot of fun. 7 year old managed it easily.

Great game, got highly competitive on our recent camping trip.

The size is the same as a standard packet of cards just more cards. The value of the cards is good and quality of the cards is strong. They have a plastic kind of coating which is again like ordinary playing cards. They are lovely and bright cards which help make the game look fun. The instructions are excellent and leaves no room for arguments. It’s a fast pace game so your not playing the same game for an hour. My 11 year old plays and would suit even younger ages. We take on plane as it’s compact and passes the time in a fun way.

ideal and a simple family game for Christmas

The wife and I play this game a lot (we are a bit old lol). We have played it so often over the years that we are on our second or maybe third pack, as they get worn out eventually. The only problem is my wife wins more often than I do!!!

I ordered this game as wanted something similar to uno whilst camping with our two girls. This is actually in our opinion a better game. It might take you a little while to get the hang of it but I read the instructions first (which are fairly clear) and then watched a YouTube video just to clarify a couple of things that I couldn’t work out from the instructions. We played one game and after that everyone had the hang of it. Our girls are 6 & 8 and can pretty much play it after about 5 games without any adult intervention. The object is to get rid of your stock pile of cards to win the game. The instructions suggest 20 cards in a stock pile but we changed it to 5 each so the games are quicker which makes it more enjoyable for little ones. Can’t wait to take this game camping next week! Highly recommend.

Fun game. Easy to learn and play

My family has played this game for years. My retired parents play several rounds every day and therefore their deck wears out and sticks together so I gift them a new one every once in a while. Most people won't encounter this issue though!

Scoperto questa estate con un gruppo di amici, ho deciso di acquistare anche io questo famoso gioco. Divertente, facile da impare, adatto a tutti, bambini e adulti. Ho la sensazione che il materiale delle carte non abbia alta resistenza, sperò che non si spiegazzino troppo presto. In caso aggiornerò la recensione. Consigliatissimo!
