Can the minifuse 1 & 2 be used as a standalone unit without a computer and be powered from the usb hub?

Yes! The unit draws its power from the USB port on your laptop/computer and can be used with whatever DAW and software you have; but I think you do have to have the supplied, MiniFuse Control Center software installed. I use my MiniFuse with my MacBook M1 Max, Logic Pro and all my software and sound libraries. The only issue I'd say watch out for is; be careful on what XLR cables you use, they have a tendency to get stuck and it's a bit of a nightmare to get out. Overall, for the money it's a cracking little interface!!!

Question 2

Can the Arturia interface be used without registering the product, or does it need to be registered / unlocked before it is used for the first time?

You do not need to register the product for it to work. Registering will activate your Arturia License on the Arturia website (assuming you made an account). If you register your product, you will get access to any additional software that comes with the product, (like the VST instruments or FXs).

Basically, the higher the impedance, the more power you will need to drive the headphone and get a proper output volume. At 80 Ohms (Beyerdynamic also manufactures a 250 Ohms version), this pair can easily be driven by a laptop, MP3 player, and iPhone

It's  straightforward to route midi from usb-midi keyboard to midi in/out sound module...but can i play that setup without the computer connected?
