Will this fit a short 8 year old?

The height of the youngster isn't really a factor when using these SKLZ training goggles. What is important is the width of the face and the circumference of their noggin. The elastic strap that keeps the soft, flexible goggles snug to the face is adjustable. SKLZ has a great Customer Service department. I would suggest you measure your 8-year-old's head and face width and give them a call ~ California 877-225-7275 or e-mail Customer Service at customerservice@sklz.com.

Will this fit big 14 year old (5'11") or slim adult face?

Yes. It’s adjustable. It fit my 12 year old at the time no problem.

Is it possible for me to fit in prescription lenses? Does it have grooves to put lenses?

No - these have no lenses at all
