PIXPRO FZ45 16MP Compact Digital Camera, 4X Optical Zoom, AA, Red

Okay, I’m actually impressed with the quality of this little camera! It’s compact, lightweight, and super easy to carry around, but the pictures still have that cute, crisp digital-camera look that’s been trending lately. The 4X optical zoom and video recording are a nice bonus, and I love that it uses regular AA batteries. I literally used the same battery for almost 1000 pictures around Europe, so you don’t have to worry about constantly charging it. The white color also makes it look really stylish and expensive for what it costs. For a fraction of the price of a Canon G7X, I’d honestly call this a budget-friendly dupe. If you want that trendy point-and-shoot aesthetic without dropping a ton of money, this camera is definitely worth checking out.

The KODAK PIXPRO FZ45 blew me away. I bought it as a budget-friendly alternative to the Canon GX7 and was genuinely surprised at how comparable the photo quality is. Here are a few tips to get the best results: Use the macro setting for close-ups of flowers, food, or small objects. It captures surprisingly detailed shots. To avoid whitewashed photos, make sure ISO is set to AUTO, rather than a super high manual setting. Start on "auto" then if that doesn't work look into the other modes like "Party" and "Night Portrait". Explore the scene modes. The camera includes presets like portrait, night, and beach, which adjust settings automatically for different conditions. Avoid using the digital zoom. Stick to the optical zoom to maintain image quality. Use the exposure compensation feature (+/- button) to brighten or darken your photos without needing editing later. Review your shots on the 2.7-inch screen and retake anything that looks slightly off. The LCD is good enough to spot issues before you move on. Yall… if you need a digi cam on a budget, THIS IS THE ONE. The Kodak PixPro FZ45 is only $99 and it looks so good!! Like seriously, you have to believe me. I mainly use it for the digicam aesthetic in my photos for memories and photo shoots, and compared to the FZ55, I feel like the FZ45 looks way better in different light settings. It comes with 2 aa batteries (don’t use the batteries from the box as they can be already old/weak), and a usb (square) to usb a adapter (to share photos from camera to computer without taking out the sd card), and a simple black camera lanyard. When I bought my camera, I separately bought: • A camera case with an inner pocket - an multi sd reader with a lightning cable and usb c cable • A basic pack of 20 Amazon Basics alkaline batteries (must be alkaline or the camera will not turn on) - a custom camera lanyard • A 32GB SanDisk SDHC card (must be SDHC or it will not save photos, and you do not need more than 32GB) I usually use it for about 30 minutes when I take photos, so one set of 2 batteries lasts me 1 to 2 months. A 20 pack could easily last you a year or more. When I am not using it, I take the batteries out to avoid leaks but leave the SD card in. The one con is that it takes 5 to 10 seconds to reboot or recharge between shots. That makes candids or motion shots tricky, but honestly I do not mind since I mostly pose anyway. Pro tip: stay on “Program AE” mode because it helps shorten the recharge time a little. Do not get this if you want a vlog or video camera. It is not 4K and the video quality is not great. For photos though, it is phenomenal for the price. I usually edit the coloring afterward, but the base photos already look strong which makes editing easier. This is my honest take and I totally recommend it if you are curious about digital cameras but do not want to spend $200 to $800 right away. The FZ45 does amazing for what it is and it is the perfect starter camera to see if you will stick with the digicam vibe before upgrading.

Y’all better RUN!!! This camera is amazing! The picture quality is seriously so good. I even took my passport photo with it, and it worked perfectly! The image can look a little pixelated on the actual camera screen, but don’t let that fool you—once you transfer the photos to your phone or computer, they look crisp and clear! Just keep in mind that you’ll need to purchase an SD card separately, as well as a USB-C adapter/cable that’s compatible with your phone if you want to transfer the photos directly. Overall, I’m super impressed with this camera and definitely recommend it!

I got this camera beginning of June. It is now August and I want to throw this thing across the room. At first it seemed to work fine, but it quickly started developing aggravating habits. About 50% of the time, when attempting to take a photo, the camera stalls. It is SO annoying asking people to "stand still a little while longer, sorry!". At one event, it refused to flash for the majority of my photos, even though I had the settings on force flash. This past Saturday 8/8 it started malfunctioning in a new way: the camera would flash, but when I looked at how the photo turned out, it was super dark! Then 8/11 at a concert towards the end of the night., it decided to completely freeze on me. Wouldn't turn off or anything. I removed the batteries and reinserted them and it came back on. To top off the night, it notifies me "batteries exhausted". Mind you, I put in new batteries (Duracell) 3 days earlier on 8/8. When the camera decides to work, it's great. But there is no rhyme or reason for when it decides to malfunction. I want a reliable camera. I paid $118 for this camera and at the very least I expect it to take photos when I press the button. I love the photos it takes (when it wants to work) but I am very disappointed with my purchase. I wish I could return it. I hate that I may have to purchase an even more expensive camera to have a reliable product.

i love this camera! i watched a couple youtube videos on the different settings this camera has, and for someone who has never used a digital camera this was very easy. if your looking for something to take those cute insta pics with this is def a 10/10 recommendation from me. it also comes with an adapter so you can plug the camera into your laptop, which is SUPER nice you don’t have to go looking for the right one. just don’t forget to buy a memory card too!

absolutely love this camera. i've had it for a few weeks and the pictures are amazing. honestly, i saw some reviews saying that it wasn't good but it really is. the camera works so well very high functioning with such a cheap price. it can zoom in a good amount but i'd recommend turning off digital zoom because it just ruins the quality. i would say kids could use it but with my experience kids don't take the best pics. i wouldn't recommend this for kids just because it isn't labeled as a kid friendly camera and it has some advanced settings. overall amazing camera i'll put some pics below. VERY IMPORTANT: THE BATTERIES IT COMES WITH ARE VERY LOW QUALITY AND WILL DIE QUICKLY. YOU WILL NEED TO STOCK UP ON AA BATTERIES OR BUY RECHARGEABLE ONES!!!

I bought this camera for my trip to New York, and to be completely honest, you get what you pay for. It’s definitely on the cheaper side but is a great camera considering! I was reading reviews, and I see a lot of complaints that it randomly turns off, doesn’t work, and won’t charge. I will say, at first, when I was having these issues, it was frustrating, but I just figured out the little weird flaws and how to deal with them, and it’s totally second nature now to deal with it. When the camera turns off or won’t even turn on, it’s because the batteries are running low, so just be aware of that and replace them with LITHIUM batteries only. This camera also doesn’t charge. It’s battery-operated, so for the people saying “I charged it and it didn’t work,” I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this… it’s battery-operated, and the “charger cable” is actually used to upload to your device and transfer the photos. Also, a good note is the camera doesn’t work with the batteries provided for some reason, so you need lithium batteries specifically. The camera will only take photos when the little blinking light turns green, and you can’t take a photo if it’s blinking red. If you press the button while it’s red, it’ll just be red longer, which is slightly frustrating when you’re trying to take a photo quickly. As for the lens getting stuck, that will happen sometimes, but I always just manually open it, and it goes back to normal. I submitted some of my photos I took on this camera that I’m submitting for my college portfolio and I really have enjoyed having this as my first camera.

Lovely camera, great quality and beautiful pictures. Just make sure you buy the batteries, SD Card and card reader separately! Would recommend and I love the white camera.
