First world problem; I don't have enough guitars!

My wife says I have enough guitars. (Of course, she is sorely mistaken). She has forbade me from buying any more. So instead, I have to build new guitars. Fortunately, I have the tools to do this.Watch this space for pictures of my planned project - a small bodied headless version of a Gibson SG. (I have a Traveler Guitar EC-1 which I love and use often, and this will probably replace it.)At first look, it appears this hardware is well designed and manufactured to tight specs. The appearance is nice and the tuning machines feel smooth. I plan on using a 13 gauge string, but the tuning machines are rather small. I might have to get a lighter gauge. Stand by for update. Now next first world problem; I want hotter tubes for my EVH 5150...

Needs instructions

Pros: has adjustable tuners on the bridge that tilt upward. Includes the magnetic winder.Good for a tuning bridge if your guitar doesn't have a cut away for the tuning knobs; but I would probably opt for something else on a headless. The locking nut it arrived with is good, although for a headless install, it's heavy duty and a good piece of metal.Cons: no instructions. I got 3 out of 4 right, the first screw was a miss, and then the head broke off.I wouldn't let one bad screw ruin the whole thing, but if you are impatient, you will find this frustrating because it's like solving a puzzle to really get it working right. It seems like a piece is probably missing, or that part of this installation includes another piece in front of it. I had some extra hardware, using some square nuts and screwed them in. This keeps the tension set against the bridge, so that the screws can just press it down firm. You don't really need the screws it came with; I used shorter ones after their one broke on me.The tuning aspect of it is a 10 out of 10.Super accurate, and not too much torque. That is probably more pro than con, but the intenation is a pain because there's no way to without unwinding some. Not such a big deal, but if this was going on a headless guitar it would be too much tuning on the knobs. They are closer together and it would be too cumbersome.I still have a headstock to wind with and a separate locking nut. It's still very cumbersome to set intenation, but once set it's very firm. Then it has winding hexes that set action, one screw lifts and lowers (R), the other locks or sets a limit to how low. (Left)Once I learned what to do it was not that difficult to adjust.I would say it's worth the sixty dollar price tag, but there's more room for improvement. You would probably need to spend at least a hundred on a similar product to get a better result. This works for me as an upgrade on my squire Mustang.FYI; I typically run 11/46 gauge, my tester was 13/54. It's definitely up for the most tension that I would ever use.I hope this was helpful.Enjoy playing.

Very Nice

I made my own headless fretless guitar and I could not find a bridge for it. But I found this bridge and it worked perfectly the first time!

A bridge with a journey.

Fantastic idea. Fairly poor execution. The tuning machine for the top E string is very loose and wobbles around when trying to tune. The nut seems to be a strange angle that was VERY hard to fit, but eventually worked. The bridge only has screws on the front and wanted to lift in the rear. Unfortunately I did a lot of custom fitting to make this work and it’s here to stay. No way to adjust action. interested in replacement parts for the tuning bridge if available from the manufacturer.

Locking nut NOT included

Never mind the NUT is clearly in the picture and measurement spec are given for the nut ... it is NOT included in the kit and mentioned in the description. I've read my share of poorly translated instructions and figured it was a mistake. I like the piece and will probably keep it ... just be aware if you need both the nut will NOT be in the box. It was also sold as new and well it was not. I will contact the seller and update this accordingly after I get an answer.
