Works great!
Works great, love the added peace of mind that my property gate has a mechanical lock on it as well. My gate is chain linked, so I took the added step of welding the lock mechanism onto a bracket and then welding that bracket onto the fence which works perfect. Locks and unlocks just as it should. Also helps with the wind and prevents unnecessary pressure on my gate arm on windy days. Seamlessly integrates with the Topens gate arm and controller that I bought with it.

One word: phenomenal!
The media could not be loaded. I recently installed the Topens electric gate opener model PW802 along with the electric lock model ET24,and I am thoroughly impressed! These products have exceeded my expectations in every way possible.Let's start with the gate opener. One word: phenomenal! The PW802 operates so quietly that it's almost eerie. No more waking up the neighborhood with loud clanking noises every time I come or go. And speed? Blink, andthe gates are already opening or closing! It's lightning-fast, yet it moves with such smoothness and precisionthat you can't help but admire the engineering behind it. Plus, installation was a breeze thanks to thecomprehensive instructions provided in writing and over the phone. But let's not forget about the ET24 electric lock. This little device is a game-changer! It adds an extralayer of security to my property while seamlessly integrating with the PW802 opener. What really stands outto me is how seamlessly it works with the gate opener. It's like they were made for each other, which Isuppose they were! The lock engages and disengages swiftly and silently, ensuring that my gate remainssecurely closed when I want it to be.Overall, I couldn't be happier with my Topens electric gate opener and electric lock combo. The quietoperation and lightning-fast speed of the PW802, paired with the seamless integration and added securityprovided by the ET24, make for an unbeatable combination. If you're in the market for a reliable, efficient, and whisper-quiet gate opener and lock system, look no further than Topens. You won't be disappointed!

Great lock
Works great and was easy to install. I increased the force of closure on the gate to ensure that the lock was securing the gate. Heidi with customer support was a great help.

Worked eventually, but very finicky
I got this because I have two big dogs and just put in an electric gate opener. Problem was that the dogs jumping on the gate just opened it. This is solid and the instruction for connecting it to the control box were fine. But I had a horrible time getting it to latch without getting stuck. The gate catch with the rod that is grasped by the clasp has to be put exactly right or it doesn't work. And the instructions give suggestions about things you might have to try, like setting the closing gauge for the master gate a little past the normal close position. I assume this is to put extra pressure on the locking mechanism so that the bar will actually go under the clasp and lock in position. But it also makes the gate bow out a little. Any attempt to get that bow to go away results in no locking of the mechanism. And the piece that holds the bar that is the receiving mechanism for the lock has to be put in the exact right position. But there is no explanation of what that position is other than to make it level with the other piece. But it's position to the right or left is just as important. The little rod is not set in place, it moves a bit and so it can be attached where it will receive the other piece of the lock when the gate closes, but won't latch. Or it can be attached where it latches, but then there's so much pressure on it that it won't unlatch. This was, by far, the most difficult, arduous part of the process of installing the gate openers. At one point, I was despairing of ever getting to be able to actually use the gate opener because without a lock I can't let the dogs out and so I would end up having to use the slide gate I've been getting out to open every time I've left the house for the last 28 years. It is now latching and it has worked for several days, locking and unlocking each time without fail, so I am tentatively excited that I might have it all finished. However, the master gate does press out a little past the close spot, and I worry that there is pressure being put on the gate opener because of that, that will wear it out faster than normal. But, fingers crossed, it will have a long life. My only request is that the instructions would be a little better at explaining where each piece should go to work optimally. EDIT: Well I've had this for a while. I bought a gate stopper that goes into the driveway and that really helped with the gate. They do suggest that in the instructions. It has mostly worked since. However, if it is relatively windy the pressure against the gate seems to make it stop working. I am considering putting in a drop rod that I can engage during windstorms to take the pressure off the lock. The other issue is when the temperature dropped the lock froze and I was locked in for a bit. Even the key wouldn't unlock it. The openers were working fine in the cold weather. It was only the lock that had a problem. So, I would say that the lock mechanism is iffy for places that have many days below freezing. Luckily I live in a place where that's pretty rare.

Reliable and Secure After Two Years of Use – Highly Recommend!
I’ve been using the ET24 gate lock with my TOPENS electric gate opener for just over two years now, and I can confidently say it has exceeded my expectations. From day one, it has added an extra layer of security and stability to my gate system. The lock engages and releases smoothly every time, and I’ve never had any issues with it sticking or failing to lock, even in extreme weather conditions.Installation was straightforward, and it integrated perfectly with my existing TOPENS setup. What I appreciate most is the peace of mind it provides—knowing the gate is securely locked when closed makes a big difference, especially when it comes to safety for pets and property.

Works great, would buy again
Works great. I had to make my own mounting bracket to mount on a 16' tube gate. Securely latches and releases every time.

Topens Gate Lock
I purchased the Topens gate lock to go with the Topens gate operator. I have to open and close the gate to keep cows away from our house. I could have just let the gate close and be done with it, but I was afraid cows being cows would rub against the gate and add additional stress to the gate itself.I installed the lock and had it operating properly in just a few minutes. It works seamlessly with my remote gate opener, all you do is press the remote control and the gate unlocks and opens without any problem. Just remember to turn off the power to the gate control board when you attach the two wires to the panel. I highly recommend if you want to provide a little more security from cows and other things.
