Every Flavor is a Win and King Oscar is a High Quality Brand
As far as taste and quality you cannot do better than King Oscar brand in my opinion. Many other brands of canned fish have cans that can contain toxins, like Polar's sardines I believe. As far as flavors in this box I like all of them. The lemon is subtle and fresh not fake, the Jalapeño is zippy and perfect for dips and salads, the Mediterranean is my favorite and I put it on/in everything. The plain flavor is usually eaten first right out of the can with some crackers, use the oil in these cans! Its flavorful and perfect for recipes. Sadly mackrel is kind of expensive otherwise I would live off it.

No "fishy" yuck here!
I am not paid to write this and have no affiliation with this company. I'm not kidding when I say I have eaten some of the worst food on the planet because that is what I do. I used to travel A LOT and would have to take non-perishable food with me. Now, with several medically necessary diets in this house it gets tough sometimes to find some "excellent" tasting tinned food as it's really not an easy thing to accomplish but I will try any food once. This is packed with protein, not hormones or antibiotics. Its Kosher no-GMO wild caught with a BPA-NI can and its a product of Poland where at least they try not kill you with pesticides/hormones/antibiotic/GMO stuff before its even digested. I tried the variety pack of boneless skinless Mackerel and it truly is boneless and skinless. Its also NOT fishy, slimy, gooey or gross. It is the absolute best tasting, mild tasting tinned fish I have found and honestly I used to prefer Salmon but this just moved up into my regular food plan. Is it worth the cost? Yes, especially if you are trying to eat "clean" or "cleaner". I think the kiddos would like this product because it is very mild.

Exceeds expectations!
First off I'm a fan of King Oscar. Their sardines and tuna are too notch so I thought I'd give this a try. So glad I did, this mackerel is excellent. Very delicious. Just the right amount of olive oil carries a tasty flavor that envelopes the chunks of meat tightly packed in the tin with sliced olives. A firm texture you have to pry the solid chunks out to eat. This adds up to a wonderful out of the can treat for a snack and on the go ease of use; though I do use hot sauce it's not needed here. There's a mix of four different flavors in this variety pack. Mediterranean was the first I grabbed at random so I'm excited to see what the others are like. I have no doubt they will all be as great as the first one. Long live the King!

Delicious 16g of quality protein
Absolutely delicious, great quality. I wish I could get more protein at a better price, these are a delicious snack but for the price to protein ratio, it's not a valuable long term product, just a once in a blue moon.

Delicious mackerel
It was nice to try all the flavors, since I usually can only find the plain olive oil in my local Krogers. The other week when I went to buy my mackerel they were out of stock! So, I'm very glad I was able to order some through Amazon instead and try new flavor combinations. It works out to be cheaper than buying instore too, so that was a bonus.

Some of the best tinned mackerel, and without excess oil
I like to eat some sort of tinned fish for supper three times a week or so, and have had such for many years now. I purchased this to add it to my usual rotation of tuna/octopus/sardines/cod liver. I like mackerel, but really only the high-quality tinned stuff, of which this is an example. I like all the varieties, the other ingredients in the can are consistently high-quality and generous in quantity. The fish is good - meaty and with some grain, but tender. The oil quantity is just right - if you are like me and prefer to sop up the extra oil with good bread, it's a little disappointing not to have much left, but the ingredients flavor the remaining oil well, so it's more interesting than pure olive oil tends to be. It is pricey, especially compared to my other usual fare, but I like to think of it as a special entry into the rotation, something I only have a couple times a month. I'd definitely recommend it if you like tinned fish, or mackerel in particular. I'll order it again when I finish my present box.

Tasty omega 3s
I’m not a fan of sardines and tuna is just okay, but I really like this mackerel, and it helps me get some omega 3s into my diet. I’ve never noticed any bones, and the texture is more like tuna (which is a good thing imo). I can grab a can and throw it onto a bed of lettuce for a quick, satisfying, and healthy lunch. The Mediterranean is my favorite but I like them all, even the jalapeño. I’m a wimp when it comes to spicy food and assumed it would be hot, but it’s very mild with a nice hint of jalapeño flavor. Just a warning, however—my husband can’t stand the smell, so be prepared with some gum or a toothbrush if eating around others!

Tender, tasty, no skin.
JUST TENDER MEAT. No bones or other nasty stuff. These are like tuna packs, but much tastier. Love these on crackers.
