Will this fit an adult?

Yes, I believe so. We used it on stage for a performance with the oldest guy in his 20's and it fit fine.

Would this be an american wwii helmet? help santa out! ;)

Yes, this helmet is shaped like a WWII helmet. My step son is into WWII and we bought this one to give as a gift to one of his friends. It’s extremely light (much lighter than an authentic one), but it will do the trick if you’re looking for a WWII helmet look-a-like. Hope this helps!

Is it made out of metal

No, plastic, but solid and high quality. It’s large adult size.
