Shade Stix, Temporary Hair Color for Kids & Adults - Blue

This is small, so this is great for streaks or similar job. I bought this for my daughter's last game and the applicator is a dream. Not only is it two-sided, it has one side to get the color on your hair, and the other side (brush side) to comb it in and help it set. Note: if you are using a bright color, I would recommend an old shirt and perhaps some latex gloves so it doesn't die your skin, but if you rinse your hands off quickly, there isn't too much of a stain remaining. The color in my daughters hair only lasted about a day and that was with heavy sweating. Other note: if you are applying this to hair and then plan to style it, the color will be MUCH lighter once you are done styling. It kinda powders off as it is touched/styled.

The applicator is like a mascara wand but bigger sized in order to easily apply it to your hair. The consistency is liquid at first but then dries to be more chalky. It is very vibrant and easy to use. If it gets on your hands, it comes off really easily with some soap and water. I think this is great if you're going to concerts or parties and you want to spice up your hair. In order to make it less clumpy because it can get a bit sticky after applying multiple layers, just run a comb through your hair and it will look smoother. To wash it off, just wash your hair like normal and it comes off easily and doesn't stain. This product was really fun to play with!

WARNING: do NOT use if you’re looking for something not subtle. The only reason I would leave a star, if I had a choice, is it looks okay for streaks or light highlights, but impossible for anything more. The application method is a hassle, and made a huge mess on my sink. The worst part: they lied. They said it was mess free, but I did everything it said, left it in for more than a minute, and it got all over my forehead. My scalp and hands were blue, and I had to SHAMPOO WITH DAWN! Not only that, it also would come off on my fingers. any time I lightly touched the dyed hair, my fingers were even bluer than before. It basically turned to dust in my hair, and was so faded it was less vibrant than my fingers by the end of the day. I promise I did everything it said. This is the product error, not mine

I read the reviews and wanted this to work. It worked okay I did the damp hair and dry hair. My daughter went as a demon slayer character and need just the tips to be a little blue and it took forever to come out almost like barley anything in the bottle. It was easier to use my hand to apply more than anything but be warned and use gloves!!!!! This does stain hands!!! It didn't rub off all over everything which is a plus and make everything blue, thankfully. I feel like the bottle should have more product in in.

I really like this wash-out hair color! The shades are vibrant and show up nicely, which makes it fun to use. It also dries pretty quickly, so you don’t have to wait around too long before styling your hair. It does come off a bit though so just be careful with that. One of my favorite features is the comb applicator—it makes the application process so much easier and less messy. Overall, a super convenient and enjoyable product to use!

The temporary shade stix colors are super fun for something a little crazy & different! However, not my favorite product of theirs. The color goes on a little tricky for long hair. I did use my own gloves as none were provided. Color does stain your skin and doesn’t wash right off. The inside stick to apply the color doesn’t hold much color and gets somewhat tangled in long hair (my hair is at least 24” from root to ends). I did one small patch of my hair with this product and the color does look super cool! It did get somewhat caked on, likely because I really wanted the color to show up. It dries kind of firm and when I did comb through my hair the color flakes off and made a huge mess on my hands, shirt, counter and sink. Not sure how it will wash out in 1 wash as it did stain my sink and skin. Overall Hally the company, and the products are great & everything else I’ve used has been stellar! Their customer service is top notch and they take care of their customers!
