Illustrated Arabian Nights (Usborne Illustrated Story Collections)

I’ve read this book to my children several times. The chapters are divided into short stories that are good for an evening read. Easy to follow plots for 5-6 year olds , maybe even older children. Sturdy hard cover with lovely illustrations.

Great book

Fantastic edition, beautifully illustrated, the stories are very well re-told, truly captivating. My 6-year old daughter loves it, listens with fascination when I read them to her, although the idea of a king killing every woman is a bit hard for her, as a modern child, to perceive. Nevertheless, she is very happy with the book, and so am I.

I wanted to introduce my kids to the great stories in the Arabian Nights and I only had a very old version with difficult to understand English. This version is colourful and the language is engaging, we are enjoying reading the stories of Scheherazade.

A beautifully bound and illustrated story book. I remember my father reading me these stories many years ago, and they really captured my imagination as a child. Having now purchased this book I am delighted. Not only has it brought back many memories for me, but my children (aged 5 and 7) just can't get enough. This is always the book they choose for their bedtime stories.

A beautiful book, great for my granddaughter, hopefully this will encourage her to read more, and to read to her little brother.

The book does not have full collection of stories, only most popular ones are included. The book is not heavily illustrated! There can be 5-6 pages in a row without a single illustration. This is perhaps for older kids who are more into actual reading rather than illustrations. If you are looking for something to attract your young kid with illustrations (and Usborne is famous for illustrations and content), I advise you to go for Usborne Adventure stories or some Usborne illustrated tales. They will have wonderful illustrations on every page! Otherwise, the book is good.

Very good one, for those who like fairy and fantasy tales, this is one of the good books.

Usborne books are truly the best for ages 8 and up. Read this as a kid. Finally arrived after 2 1/2 months. Was in great condition, nicely packed. Still puzzles me why it took 2 1/2 months.

Beautiful layout - mesmerizing stories - maybe a quite small, but packed size. For a little older of the young readers who do not require many drawings. (6-7 years and above)
