This heavy body acrylic paint has a rich, thick texture. The colors are vibrant. It covers the canvas perfectly. When it dries it still looks wet and has a beautiful satin finish. It blends so easily too. The tubes are much bigger (2oz!) than what comes in most color sets. I wish it came in more colors! Excellent value.

I havevtried them all, this is the best. The tube is always easier than those tubes with the holevand plug thatvalway glob up. The quality beats the others out, the box set usually last through many painting and they have single meeden white or black and other colors if you need to add in those that get used up before the set. This is not beginner level paint for little kids. This is professional grade paint and you have to know how to use it to have a good outcome. The colors provided are listed with regard to their opacity, because you will be mixing them together to make other colors. That’s why you were provided with two colors of yellow, two red and two blue. The opaque colors are designed to mix with the semi transparent colors in order to make other colors. I swatched this set of paint tubes out and found them to be very creamy, there was no separation of medium and pigment in the tube, it was mixed very well. The colors themselves are very vivid. The light fast information and opacity, as well as Pigment number are listed on the tubes. It is important to note that if you’re looking for 100% opaque acrylic paint that this set has both opaque and semi transparent paint in it. There are only four opaque colors in the set, titanium white, Crimson, cerulean blue, and Mars black. I did not find the Crimson color to be 100% opaque, from my own knowledge, crimson is always semi transparent, however, I was not bothered enough by that to return the set. The lemon yellow, mid yellow, scarlet, Prussian blue, and deep green, which I think looks like a Veridian are all semi transparent colors. If you purchased this set of acrylic paint, you should be prepared to do a lot of mixing, I would recommend you purchase a retarder to keep it from drying quickly because it will indeed be dry within five minutes. This is a nice set, I think the heavy body viscosity is really good for people that want to produce texture in their work. The price point is very nice. My only recommendation to somebody would perhaps be to buy a set with more colors included so that you’re not mixing paint.

New to acrylics. These are nicely pigmented for beginners looking for a more professional grade paint without the high costs. Good selection of colors.

I always buy "artist" grade or professional level paints. I bought the Meeden "artist" acrylics just to test them and I was pleasantly surprised. I feel they do contain sufficient pigment and are buttery. Acrylics dry fast; that is a fact of acrylics. So use a retarder to keep them soft. You can make your own retarder; see YouTube for more info. Keep your brushes wet at all times and clean them after use. I love to paint with oils but sometimes I just like the ability to clean up with water. I would suggest this 9 tube artist set as a good buy. It contains two yellows, two reds and two blues, plus black and white. If you know your way around the color wheel, this set will be all you need.

Good texture, not the heaviest body I've ever used but definitely higher quality paints and easy to blend. The color accuracy is very off though. This painting I did was gradients with the "deep green" color and it is NOT green. More blue than I'd even typically call teal. The bottom color has some black mixed in but otherwise it's just white texture paste mixed with deep green. Pretty disappointed in the color

I just started using heavy body or thick acrylic paints and these were amazing. Very vibrant colors and the texture of the paint is awesome. The price is even better. Go ahead and order yours today.

I bought this product to preview the paint quality for gifting a couple of special holiday gifts for my great niece and nephew. I want to teach them the proper ways to use acrylics and gifting art as a way to cope with growing up. This Meeden set a wonderful set of full bodied paints. I especially liked the med yellow, which is a yellow that is used a lot in blending for your desired effect. I had no problems blending them with mediums from slo-dry to matte or gloss. Very happy with the quality.
