Provides a good plan, concise and to the point
In a few pages, the author sheds light on certain pitfalls and difficulties, then puts a simple plan to distribute the 5 stations of the PACES exam over the 8 weeks based on a personal experience.Overall very good.My only reservation is in underestimating the neurology section (too big to be provided 3 days in the plan), but the idea is great. So glad that the author was able to write down the tips and the plan in a few pages, considering the reader's limited time.

A useful guide
This helps give you a guide to structuring your approach to the exam and your revision if you're stuck for where to start. Concepts such as the PACES triangle that it talks about are quite useful. Nothing groundbreaking but helpful all the same.

I thought this book was a very succinct and honest guide about how the author passed PACES in 8 weeks.Dr Chan explores rarely discussed and almost unheard of concepts such as the PACES triangle and also gave me an accurate outline of how to approach my revision for the final hurdle. Thanks.

Not bad
Expected more. But after reading felt slightly more confident

Extremely slim volume
More brochure than book, 58 pages generously spaced. Whilst some solid advice, there is also a fair amout of self-promotion.

Great tips
Well worth to read. Most candidates don’t know where and how to start the preparation. This book does really help.

For fine tuning
Helped to get an extra edge on the exam after studying and practising. I spent a few hours talking to a microphone, and this actually did help!.

Brilliant book
Brilliant book. Very well written. The honesty and sheer simplicity in Rory's words resonated well with me during the dark days of winter when I was preparing for PACES. A much better resource imo then the chunky textbooks written by a plethora of consultants which seldom help as the actual questioning part of the PACES exam is very brief and limited to a few key facts. I passed first time and Rory's book was of immense help.
