Needed 2 tools. A rubber mallet and a pipe wrench. Just took a few minutes after watching a short video.

Replacement for a failed position that was likely over 20 yrs old on an MCM chair. Super easy install. Holds well and brings the chair back to proper form Definitely recommend !

Perfect Replacement
This cylinder was the perfect replacement for my Hyken office chair that broke a while ago. The height on the lower side so if you are wanting to sit high you may want the larger sized cylinder that's available. Installation was simple once I was able to remove the old pieces that were pretty stuck in place. A few taps with a hammer though and I was able to pull out the old cylinder and just pop the new one in. Smooth rise and drop and my chair is just like new now.

PERFECT HEIGHT
I had another lift cylinder that was just too high. I ordered this one, replaced it and it is now the perfect height. I weigh 300 pounds and it handles my weight nicely. No problems at all. YES I would be glad to reccomend this gas cylinder lift to anybody.

I can see Tokyo!!!!
Ok, this thing is mighty! The weight and feel of it is premium. Unfortunately I miss-measured and now I have a bird watcher's chair! I guess my base wasn't standard and this thing lifted me into the ceiling fan. I'm 6ft and at the lowest, my feet barely touched the floor. If you play for the NBA, this is for you ... otherwise you might want to take more time to measure. God bess
