Wild Target [Blu-ray]

I love this film first of all because it has Emily Blunt in it. Emily is a wonderful, witty, intelligent and beautiful women. Her smile just melts me. She is for me one the most desireable women i have ever known. When i see her on film, i feel happy and i smiled and laughed a lot through this film. I first saw Bill Nighy in "Shawn of the Dead" and i wanted to see more of him he is so funny here with his dry, subtle wit and charm. The trio in this film are perfectly matched. This is such a great film, i had to watch it like 3 times. Sorry, i am too tired to go into plot and details right now. Rent this film, you will love it . British humor is so understated, yet poignant. Wonderful film and some good times. I highly recommend it.

I rented this movie, watched it, laughed hysterically, and immediately went on Amazon to purchase it, as in while the credits were rolling. Bill Nighy is superb as always, he really nails physical comedy and wit with perfect subtlety. Emily Blunt is also awesome, as usual, creating depth and dimension in a character that could come off as one-note if left in the wrong hands. Rupert Grint is trying to have a career after Harry Potter, and more power to him. Yes, he is a little shaky and new, but it works for his character and there are some real gemstone one-liners that he delivers hilariously. Oh, and Rupert Everett, though his role is somewhat small and shallow, is as charming as ever. This film does not take itself too seriously, nor should it, as it is an awesome dark(ish) comedy that succeeds where many contemporary movies fail. I highly recommend picking it up and seeing for yourself. A+ from me. Sidenote: For all you fashion-minded folks out there, Emily Blunt's wardrobe is AMAZING in this film.

Great acting all around and skillful editing. Somehow I missed this flick when released. Even Rupert Gint does well in his role, which is saying something. The romance part is implausible and the only fault.

Kind of a black comedy but fun and funny to watch! The acting is great. Specially Emily Blut and the 2 mail leads. It’s sweet, definitely entertaining and I definitely recommend it! We did have 1 problem we were charged $14.95 as if we wanted to add it to our library whe we only wanted to have it for 2 days at s”approx $3.95 but we caught it called Amazon CS , got right through and the credited the difference right back! Amazon goes the extra mile to keep there customers happy and I love doing business with them!

I love the movie. Emily Blunt is young and funny and she was great in this role. Bill Nighy plays a hitman trying to get out of the business and Emily is a thief who just wrecks everyone's plans. The comedic timing is great and worth watching and owning.

Caper-comedies were a fun genre over the years, this attempt has potential but falls to pieces because of the writing. Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt do what they can to save this but it just doesn't jell.

I never know what people want out of movie reviews on Amazon. The image and sound quality are great. The movie is not that old so it looks great on blu-ray and I had no problems with playback. If you enjoy quirky british humor than this is the movie for you. Go to YouTube and watch the trailer for it to get an idea of what the film is about but I can tell you it has a good story line and you get sucked into it so the movie doesn't seem that long. Without going into much detail I can tell you that I find this movie very funny and I enjoy the innocent humor in it. I can watch it with my mom and not only will she not be offended but she'll be in tears laughing. If you are looking for a lighthearted british comedy give this one a shot.

I am a HUGE Bill Nighy fan and will watch ANYTHING with him in it. So when I read the reviews on this movie they pretty much said it was best thing ever. SO had to see it. 5 mins into the movie realized I had ALREADY seen it LOL watched it on NETFLIX a couple of years ago. Whilst it is not the best thing EVER it is fun. Pleasantly quirky the humor is not laugh out loud more grinning a lot. The plot leaves a lot to be desired but it is fine I have seen worse movies. Even seeing for the second time I did enjoy and OF COURSE Bill Nighy is GREAT. Worth a view.

いつまでもDVD化されないオリジナルの“めぐり逢ったが運のつき”の代用品程度の気持ちで手にとったのですが、エミリー・ブラントがオイタをしながら自転車で滑走してくるオープングでもう“うわぁ〜買って良かった！”という気持ちになれました。とにかく楽しい！その調子で最後までクスクス笑いながら盛り上がること間違いなし。かかってる音楽も全篇最高です。(これでimelda mayやyael naimを知った人は幸せです）まぁパッケージのイメージとは違ってセンスのいい小品という感じなので、ハリウッド映画のように思いっきりは弾けないんですけどね。オリジナルのフランス映画っぽさを残したためなのか、ラストのオチも含めて淡々とした可笑しさの積み重ねだけなんですが、それでもこれはリメイクとしては実によくできた好例だと思います。

I'll admit it. The only reason I watched this is because of Rupert Grint. However I was happy with the film and found it your typical British comedy that I have always come to love. While I understand some of the criticism when it comes to characters being fleshed out more and relationships written better (I would love to have more family dynamic between Victor, Tony and Rose), it's still an enjoyable film. For me, films should make you feel happy and make you laugh if they're comedies. As long as there is a clear plot and not just non stop stupid slapstick (Mike Myers flop any one?) I'm in and enjoying the ride. If you are like me, you should love this film. Rupert Grint fans should especially love Tony. While some critics claim this isn't a stretch from Ron Weasley, I disagree so much. Ron has never been bumbling - he may have had a few mishaps in Chamber of Secrets and there was "comedy quidditch" in Half-Blood Prince, but never bumbling. Tony is nothing like Ron. Ron is stand up and wouldn't mind mixing it up with the baddies. Ron knows his magic and can use the spells the right way. Tony is hapless and never means to do anything. His comedic timing is pitch perfect. One of my many favorite Tony scenes is in the bathroom when he accidentally shoots of someone's ear and talks about putting it on ice! You also can never go wrong with Bill Nighy who has absolutely lovely chemistry with Rupert and this is where I would have loved to have seen more scenes between the two. The father/son dynamic was wonderful and perfect. Some critics have been confused over the "gay" label on Victor and wondering where it went to, why he "suddenly wasn't." It's not hard... Victor didn't believe he was gay, but his mother put that thought in his head. He was curious and couldn't tell. When Tony gives him the chance to figure it out, he realizes right away he's not. (This is a hilarious scene and eye candy for us Rupert fans who find him handsome as well as a good actor!) Emily Blunt is a joy to watch as Rose and from the moment she entered into the film, I haven't stopped laughing at her zany, hair brained schemes. There is also a couple of exchanges between Rose and Tony that I think most would enjoy. The trailer showed the slapping scene which is so reminiscent of a brother and sister that I couldn't stop laughing. The other is a scene where Rose starts to tell Tony she's in love with Victor and Tony's reaction is "Really?" but it's the look on Tony's face that really gets you. The relationship between Rose and Victor isn't hard to believe, but it's just so underplayed and underwritten that it's hard to get into. The film needed to put more time into it. It's easy to see why Victor fell for her. She was his complete opposite and she lit up his otherwise dull and structured life. It's a little less clear for Rose... was he more of a father figure she needed? Is that the message? Sometimes it feels that way. Lastly those who DO NOT HAVE REGION FREE BLU-RAY PLAYERS SHOULD BEWARE! I had to get a region free blu-ray player (which I was happy to get as I could play some DVDs that are region 2) in order to watch this. It seems hard to believe that in 2010 that any Blu-Ray would have a locked region, but this one does and Amazon doesn't tell you that!!! Be sure your blu-ray player can play this before buying!!

It was an absolute shocker that the movie was in German with German and English subtitles displayed at the same time.Even the cover was in German writing.A great movie that I could not watch.
