Does it really support 350 pounds? I’m 220 and hoping to be able to sit on it with my 1 year old.

I think it would hold fine but I don’t really sit on mine because it wouldn’t be very comfortable for that purpose. I use it as a Montessori shelf and it’s been fantastic for that!
