MOLLOM VFD 2.2KW 220V Variable Frequency Drive Inverter | 3HP 9.6A,Single or Three Phase Input to 220V 3Phase,0-3000 Hz Output For Spindle Motor CNC Speed Control

I originally installed a Mollom VFD for a South Bend 13" lathe with a 1.5hp three phase motor. It was easy to install, and and when I was ready to program in the parameters for my motor and my low voltage controls, customer support was prompt and effective. So when I recently brought home a 3hp, 3 phase Lagun knee mill, the Mollom 3hp vfd was the obvious choice. Once again, customer service has been excellent. I set up both machines with an on/off switch, a reversing switch, and a potentiometer for speed control. Both machines work great, and the variable speed function is a real upgrade over the original controls.

I own three of these VFDs, and they have had 0 issues. The manual isn't bad at all, either. I was able to program this and understand the advanced settings very easily. Look, I'm not even running any circuit protection yet, and they work Flawlessly. I couldn't recommend the Mollom VFDs enough. Their price point and quality are spot on. I am not doing production work, I have a hobby shop with larger equipment.!

Swapped out the 1.5 HP 1 phase motor with a 2hp, 3-phase motor on my knee mill. The manual was well written, making it esy to set it up. I added a remote RUN switch and remote speed control. I was alble to tune the VFD to reduce the hum. The VFD works great. I like the dual diaplay, showing both frequency and motor amps,

Easy to set up, have a 400HZ spindle and the supplier was helpful getting parameters.

It seems to be fairly good product. However, no one from their tech support can help me. We have been conversing since the last week of July. Being in a different time zone on the other side of the world means a lot of waiting involved for responses. They are responsive but haven’t solved my problems. I have provided my wiring schematic with their input on using an emergency off switch and rotary switch (for preset speeds) wired through the S1-S5 terminals. They have suggested different programming codes to fix it. Still nothing. No error codes either. I know it functions because I have operated the motor with the RUN and STOP buttons, speed settings using the potentiometer and programmed accel/decel times. Now tech support wants me to email them a video showing them what doesn’t work. You’ve got my drawings and pictures. I’m not emailing a video from a personal account showing what doesn’t work. The pictures already show that. This product requires a lot of self learning and interpretation. The manual is outdated and doesn’t completely match the product. However, the manual is pretty vague anyway. Good luck.

I bought this to upgrade my 6x26 knee mill to 3 phase so I could get variable speeds without have to change belt positions on pulleys. The vfd is easy to wire from 220 single phase to 220 3 phase output. This vfd has sensorless vector control, which a lot of others in this price range did not. This feature better controls the motors torque from what I understand. The manual is written pretty good considering. But I have still had to do a lot research to get the parameters adjusted. All in all, I think it is a good vfd for the money. I would buy it again. I might also note that I sent a message to their customer service and they were very prompt with a response.

This one works. (Have experience with abb VFD's.) The directions are challenging to understand even with AI. Only use a DI input to turn on and off in Manual mode and can manually rotate knob for frequency control. This one came preset with long ramps. Other input control unknown.

Bought this as the Huang one went bang. This is running a 1.5kw spindle and was easy to set up . Tech support were quick and helpful in tuning the settings for my setup. This unit is physically smaller and much quieter in use , the inbuilt fan speed adjusts as the load increases. Good display with 2 rows making programming easier and manual was quite clear though has lots of info that most users don’t need. Unit is pink in colour !!

I am making a 72 inch belt sander with a 3phase 230v motor. I purchased this VFD because we do not have 3 phase at home. I did some serching around and did not find anny pertinent information on how to configure it. I got intouch with the vendor via Amazon sent a photo of the plate on my motor and the next day I recieved a notification with instructions on how to configure it. Worked perfectly.
