Mercusys MA86XE AXE5400 6E WiFi Card PCIe WiFi Card

Bought this to replace an older, slower Wi-Fi card in my PC and the difference was noticeable straight away. Speeds and range both improved compared with the previous card. Installation was straightforward with no issues fitting it into the PCIe slot, and I've had no problems with connectivity since installing it. The Bluetooth has also worked really well. I've used it for a mouse, headset and controller and they've all connected and worked without any issues. Overall, a really good upgrade for the price and I've been very happy with it.

work perfectly fine with my old rog z370 motherboard. only problem is you will need to download the driver for WiFi and Bluetooth first, it is not plug and play. WiFi router is upstairs, pc down stairs, with this WiFi card, speed is 300m, while full interest speed is 500m! amazing!

great performance but better off getting the 19 pound version. same card as this but without the antenna base

Absolutely amazing WiFi card. You have all what is needed in the box for installation, including screws and Bluetooth USB motherboard interface connection cable and low profile bracket if needed. It is very easy to install, as long as you know how. Always ask for help if you are not sure or watch a tutorial video to help in guiding you. I can honestly say that this is a major upgrade on my previous WiFi card, both for the WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as consistency and stability. It ticks all of the boxes. It is plug and play with up to date versions of Windows 10 and 11, but I do suggest using the driver disc it comes with, as they are the more suitable drivers for performance, whereas Microsoft use basic drivers in order for it to just work.

Easy to physically add into the computer following the guide provided but as I don't have a cd drive I couldn't install drivers that way, took a good hour of internet research to find out I could find the device ID in device manager in windows and manually download driver files based on that. Too much faff for anyone that isn't a power user. Would not recommend unless you don't mind troubleshooting. Once I managed to get through the messing about with drivers the card works well, strong signal and easy to adjust attenae.

Received packaged in a seal-tight clear-film box. Upon unboxing, the PCIe card slot is packaged with a clean anti-static bag and cardboard to protect the interior inside. Beneath the PCIe card was small manuals and small CD to install drivers. Nowadays, CD drives isn't common but it is there if you need it. You can alternatively go to Mercusys website to download the Wi-Fi driver and Bluetooth driver separately. Ideally, recommend you do this prior to installing the PCIe card because when installing it the first time, Windows Update or system do not recognise any Wi-fi or Bluetooth card. So if you're building a new PC by buying new components separately and expecting it will detect it. Unfortunately, it won't. I recommend installing the drivers first then you will have no issues. This can be achieved by either putting it on a USB once you finish Windows installation or using ethernet for the timebeing to download and install drivers. Overall, happy with the product so far and value for money due to Black Friday. The only thing I didn't like about it is, the antennas are securely attached on it, so when inserting this into the PC case, you have to slide it through so the antennas slide out and sticks out. This approach is unusual because antennas generally can be unmounted, but these doesn't seem to be the case. So if you have a Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX PC case, just find some time to figure out HOW-TO insert this safely. Anyhow, it works. I haven't tested the Bluetooth range (yet) but currently I am just using keyboard and mouse, and works fine. As for bluetooth earphones, I have yet to try. Maybe I'll repost or re-edit my review later once I have more update about this. But for now, happy with purchase and product. Thank you.

With my previous ac1200 card, I was getting 200Mbps from my 750Mbps NBN connection at 12m and through two stud walls. With this ax3000 card and no other alterations, I get 680Mbps. (I get 780Mbps on my phone at the router). On offer at $30, this was incredible value. Definitely recomend this. (Notes and thoughts: I wanted a cheap boost to match the NBN upgrade for a year or two until wifi 7 or 5G gets to be more mainstream when I will upgrade. For $30, this was ideal. It was Plug & Play, worked straight away, though I did instal intel drivers instead of the Microsoft driver that Windows autio-installed. For those with Gb connections after the recent NBN upgrade, this card should easily cope. Don't buy if you want tri-band, this is wifi 6E but dual band only. For tri-band and access to the 6Mhz band, get a wifi 6E or wifi 7 card and specifically check the spec's for tri-band).

It works, it's fast, just a bit annoying to find the drivers for. Remember to install the usb port to get Bluetooth, but if you don't need it, the wifi will work without.
