Price to performance this thing is perfect
Just built a new system with a ryzen 5600x and was hoping the stock cooler would be enough...it was not. It worked just enough to not be super dangerous but not without throttling with high cpu loads. It would "idle" somewhere in the neighborhood of 38 to 45 c and would jump straight to 95c in cenebench, which I guess is fair at 100 percent load but the cpu wasn't even able to maintain boost clock for more than half a pass. I did have a corsair h80i I was hoping would fit in the new case but the long and the short it didn't. I was going to try a hyper 212 but happened to see this guy that had more heat pipes, a more polished heat plate and a quieter fan for basically the same price. anyway this is a super long winded way of saying that this cooler kicks ass for how cheap it was. i can have the fan at 20 percent, which is essentially silent till about 50 percent, and maintain mid 30 degree temps during light loads then bump up to maybe 50 percent while gaming and never see more than 60 degrees. Couple notes for future buyers, there's a couple reviews saying the thermal paste is subpar, I squeezed a bit out and it was a tad thick but mostly who knows who actually makes it so I used some artic mx-4 just so I didn't have to do it twice. the mounting method is pretty simple for amd but if you have a smaller case you may want to plug the fan in before mounting the cooler, the fan cable is super long so plan for a little cable managing. felt dumb after I mounted it, I should have routed it behind the mobo and back out near the connector rather than doing a full wrap around the fan but you win some you loose some.

Just buy it, this thing is great.
Worth every penny, I don't normally write reviews but installing this cooler dropped my temps by 20 degrees from my old one which was also beefy but nowhere near this big, it fits perfectly in my case and besides me not knowing how to use fan clips installation was easy. I wish they'd explain the clips in the instruction book but it's clear and easy to read. It's quiet, great air flow, dropped my temps by 20 and really well made. Out preforms the old cooler by a long shot.

It performs quite satisfactorily.
Bought this so i could do some much-needed maintenance on my external liquid cooling loop. I tried to use an automotive reservoir, thinking that because it was powder-coated aluminum, it wouldn't react with the copper parts and soon learned that i was wrong. Luckily, i use an a/c powered Eheim to be able to move all the volume and it's simple to just fill with cleaning solution and set up out on my patio, flushing and filtering all the material out for a day or two. Should be fine. This cooler was easy to install, but for one caveat. The included mounting method makes it scary easy to overtighten the hardware without realizing it. just a turn or two will cause your Socket to be warped by the mounting pressure. I had to remount the cooler because my motherboard would not power up in that state. Be very careful. there are only two fasteners, instead of four and it's easy to canoe your hardware. This can potentially damage your CPU permanently. Don't sleep on that. The performance is quite good, in my opinion. Ryzen 5 3600 clocked at 3950Mhz base between 44C-71C during gaming and other normal use. During Stress Testing it got up to 78C and quite noisy. Using Liquid, this same processor ran at roughly 34C idle in the summer, 65C under load. This is the first air cooler that i've used in more than twenty years, so if i should expect better performance than this, i wasn't aware.

Awesome performance, shipping box can be better
Got this to replace an EVO 212 when i upgraded to a radeon 5900x. And stock settings on the new CPU this thing just keeps it around 50C. But i also have six case fans keeping that airflow going through the whole box. I knocked a star because some of the fins were bent at the base of the tower and i had to hand bend them back. Dont know if shipping or what did that, but it was not nice to see.

Exceptional Value/Performance Ratio
I had a 5 year old 240mm CM AIO that was beginning to suffer from noticeable performance issues so I decided to use that as an opportunity to experiment with a budget air cooler to see if it could adequately cool my Ryzen 5800X (which is an insanely hot processor out of the box). I was very surprised that this cooler is on par with the 240mm AIO it replaced and it's easy on the eyes. For this review I have enabled a +150MHz value in the PBO setting on my BIOS and I have left power management on "Auto" which will feed the CPU up to 142W and dynamically scale performance based on thermal headroom. This was done on purpose to create the hottest scenario possible, you can obviously tweak your PPT/TDC/EDC to make this particular CPU run a lot cooler but that wouldn't be any fun for this test! I was pleasantly surprised to see that my CPU was still able to achieve the 5Ghz max boost without reaching the thermal throttle point of 91'C under a 3 hour blend of normal usage in a room with 23'C ambient temps (WoW, Total War, Chrome, Videos, etc...). I have the fan running at 75% speed which I found to be the sweet spot for noise but I may experiment with running at full speed and adding another fan to see how it impacts temperatures. This is clearly meant to resemble a Noctua NH-D15S and I have to say, it performs very well for a fraction of the price. I used a tube of Arctic MX5 for this install but ID Cooling does include a full tube of thermal compound along with all the other brackets, screws, fan clips, and fan splitters so there's not much to complain about at this price point. Solid recommendation from me.

Superbly Cools & Perfectly Fits Thermaltake Core V1
Full disclosure: I never expected to make a review for this cooler, but it is simply that much of an improvement that I just had to. I used this cooler in a media PC build in a Thermaltake Core V1 case. Other reviews said it would fit, and it leaves just the right amount of room between the top cover, and a comfortable space between the back plate for a pair of 80mm case fans to still fit. I liked the simple mounting system, which used my existing backplate, and the two screws used to hold down the cooler are threaded smooth but snug, easy to tighten in an alternating fashion to more evenly distribute the force during installation. I was familiar with the fan clips, as the bequiet Dark Rock Pro 4 in my main rig uses basically the same type, so a little time and patience are all that will be needed for those new to such a thing. I was expecting a small boost in cooling performance and slightly quieter operation. I was not expecting to see the enormous difference this cooler made in both the drop in temperature and drop in noise from my simple Ryzen 5 5600X build. With the stock AMD Wraith Stealth cooler, I was seeing 43C at idle, 56-61C watching a video on YouTube, and 63-71C in 1080p games. With this SE-207-XT Slim, I now see idle temps at 30-31C, YouTube video temps at 35-36C, and gaming at 1080p between 36C and 43C, while I can now also comfortably game at 4K reaching only 41-56C. A full stress test caused me to see 56-58C averages with a 61C one time peak. I have since rectified the 61C peak using Curve Optimizer and now max out at 58C. I am absolutely blown away by the performance of this cooler and I have already purchased a second one, in snow, for a future Thermaltake Core V1 Snow build. Sorry I do not have screencaps of the high temps with the stock cooler. My environment is 73F ambient. Yes, the top panel of the Thermaltake Core V1 is a dust magnet and will attract particles with increasing ferocity every time it is cleaned.

Keeps it cool
Great CPU cooler, Went from AIO to this and glad I did runs quiet and keeps CPU at mid 30c at idle and 60c in hard gaming. Very easy to install and at a great price too. Comes with clips to install 2 more fans if you want to.

It's like the D15's lil bro, Without Stickers?
Seems like a nice well built cooler, pretty standard, finicky clips for the fan but they all are. Fits in my Corsair 280x, Got it to run a lower speed fan curve on a media PC. Honestly my biggest beef is where is the cool Sticker? This thing sucks out 220 watts O heat,,,I wanna brag about it. Part Stickers are like Badges of honor. I feel denied. My Case Has A missing naked spot where a small nerdy sticker that says hey, I respect My PC enough to throw out the aluminum doorstop for some heatpipes. Deepcool gave you stickers AND a screwdriver. Since You are Probably absorbing most of Deepcools Market share, Step it up a notch Make a "Cool" Sticker. Jus saying. I know with the sanctions on Deepcool your making more money, might as well have a badge so people have an Image to go with your mini 2 tower Monster cooler.

Excellent budget cooler
I was having issues with very high cpu temps on certain games on my i5 10400f with the stock cooler. For example on rust I was getting temps of around 85-90 when game was running. After installing this cooler the highest I've seen my temps reach is 58 degrees. Installation was a little annoying but nothing major, took me about an hour all in. I'm very happy with this purchase excellent value for money and looks very clean inside the case. Highly recommend.
