I just recently replaced our older not-so-smart lock that stopped working with this Yale lock. This has all of the features that I was wanting. It allows you to set up auto unlock and auto lock. I have integrated it with Google home and my Samsung Smart things. Now I'm able to set up a routine to automatically lock at a certain time. I'm also able to use voice commands to lock and unlock (you have to give your access code to unlock). I did have some difficulty setting up auto unlock on my Samsung phone. But I disabled the permissions and then re-enabled them. Everything that I was hoping for and even more!!

The batteries drain immediately. Yale did try and troubleshoot by sending a Wi-Fi bridge, but that did not work. I changed the 4-AA batteries, and in under 24 hours, it notified me that my batteries are "drained" and to "change them immediately"

Recently purchased; can’t speak for the installation ease as someone installed it for me. Easy to set up on the app and wi-fi. Also works with Alexa.

My lock is close to my WIFI router and the iPhone app shows that the lock has good signal strength. My house has not experienced any WIFI issues with other WIFI devices. However, about 12 times a day, I get a notification that the lock has disconnected from the WIFI network. It will reconnect about 10 to 20 minutes after it drops but the constant connection problems are annoying.

The Yale Assure Lock 2 is Yale's newest smart lock for the home. It replaces the older Yale Assure Lock SL. It supports Bluetooth, WiFi, and Apple HomeKit. I have many Apple devices in my home, so I was happy to see the support for HomeKit, since very few smart locks support it. This particular kit also includes a door handle, so it allows you to replace all of the hardware on a typical front door. My door already had a similar style of handle, so I didn't have to drill any new holes to replace it. The entire process took me less than an hour. I have not configured the lock to work with HomeKit yet, but I will update this review once I have a chance to do that. Overall the Yale Assure Lock 2 is a big improvement over the older Yale Assure Lock SL, and I would highly recommend it based on my experience using it.
