Can an adult use this ?

It is possible for an adult to use but not for laying down. Best to sit on or hang off of when in water. Length wise it is just over 5 feet and widest spot is 19 inches. Shoe is size 7 UK in video is for reference.

Would it be to big to use in a hot tub?

Depends how big the hot tub is but for a normal size hot tub yes. Unless you kick someone out.

Is this a blow up toy or needing an air pump?

Hi Sarah, these have a regular inflation valve so you can blow them up by mouth.

How small is this when it arrives in its package? Does it easily fit into a suitcase or take up much room?

Yes, we took 2 in our suitcases. Bringing them home was more challenging. We we not expecting them to last so hadn't expected to be finding 'inbound' space. They were really sturdy, allow plenty of time for blowing up though - especially in 43c heat!
