BLITZU SI Joint Belt for Women & Men, Sacroiliac Hip Sciatica Support Brace

I have SI joint Dysfunction and these types of belts have been a blessing. As I am trying to prolong the time before I need to have an SI fusion performed. Being wider, this one is less visible under clothing. It also seems to slip less than others I have tried. While an SI belt isn’t the best all, end all for SI pain, this definitely helps me daily. I haven’t work this at night, but I have napped in it and it has made getting up easier. I will probably buy a second, before summer, as letting them dry out between uses (sweaty) and/or washing them works well for me. The price point makes that easier.

I received this product this morning and put it on right way and stunned as I went through my work day how well it helped to alleviate the worst of my sciatica pain. I’ve had two series of steroid shots last six months, but still left with significant pain and OTHER belts I’ve tried were bulky, did not sit well over the sciatic area & being short waisted rode up uncomfortably under/near my chest area. So far, this one being thinner & shaped a little differently, sits exactly where I need the support & compression. When putting the belt on, ensure it sits slightly UNDER your bellybutton & sitting on hips. It should NOT be worn at waist level on or above your bellybutton, as it won’t sit on the sciatic nerve area of your lower back where you want relief. I’ll update this after I’ve worn it for a month or more. Update May 6, 2024: I’m still loving this belt. The only problem is my waist/hip size is in between the two belt sizes offered. The L/XL is HUGE on me,, so a little difficult to get it to fit me correctly. I’m gong to try the S/M which according to their size chart is about one or two inches less than I need, but hopefully it won’t be too small. They really need a size in between the two. Still five stars from me though, as it has really helped minimize my pain.

OK- I am big. Let's just call it that. Im 5'10" and almost as round as I am wide. The XL fit me, with some stretching- so long as I place it correctly. This is not your Walmart/CostCo work-assist belt. It's not meant to go around your waistline, but below, where your actual hips sit. That said, if I hold one end (after releasing the secondary straps to dangle) and bring the other around to it I can get them to overlap in the front and stay secure. Then it's just a matter of tightening the secondary straps. It's not a fix-all, but it does provide support that I am missing, especially since I work from home 10 hrs a day and sit- a lot. This does not provide lower back support like some of you may be thinking of or looking for- its meant to compress your hip areas, down around the lower sacral. If you have a chronic back injury you know what I'm talking about- if not, this is for where your tailbone starts before going down to your buttocks. However, many of you with chronic back injuries may have been looking for support for higher-up than you may actually need. My low back injury is L5-S1 and a bulged L3-4. The L5-S1 causes the most issues for me with long-standing, getting up and down in chairs, etc. Your mileage may vary. I have found this very helpful for pain relief in my hips and down into my legs. I have another support belt that I purchased that is heavier, does not fit under belt line very well, but does fit under baggy shirts. It also fits more conventionally, like a girdle, that some people may be thinking of when they are looking for a support belt. NEITHER OF THESE ARE FOR WEIGHT LIFTING- use them like this and you are on your own. I would not recommend, 2 stars, for that.

This is a five inch wide adjustable elastic band. It provides some abdominal support but nothing for back, SI, or hip. I am a 230 pound man and so I ordered the large one. It is too large for me although it's adjustable and so I can cinch it in a lot. May work for some people but it's not doing much for me. Returning it.

Love it

I was skeptical at first but after wearing this belt and seeing and feeling it for myself, it almost immediately relieved my hip pain and lower back pain . I wear it about half the day to keep it from weakening the muscle surrounding my hip and back. Satisfied with the results.

Material very itchy. Not good for direct skin like most products

Easy to use, good quality and it worked for me. It was a great help but does not solve the problem
