My two cents: As a hair stylist of 30 years these shears are decent. I ordered the same brand shear for double the price and they were very sharp, sleek, and I had to cut with care so I didn't invest in Bandaids! They were precise and I could count on them to cut what I wanted cut, not bending or pushing. Unfortunately, those went missing after two weeks along with my thinners and feel that a client helped themselves, as my co workers of 29 years wouldn't have:( I don't buy really expensive shears anymore; I have not found someone to sharpen them properly, as they are never the same, and would rather replace them once they have too many nicks. That being said, I gave these a try since I needed to replace my trimmers(sterling mag=love), thinners, and shears. The $40 ones are thicker bulkier, and a bit heavier, are still sharp, but not as dangerously sharp as my first pair, but I noticed they push the hair unlike the $80 pair. (not as precise) I do a lot of dry point cutting and thinning with my shears. Both are good for sharpness. I do like the brand, their thinning shears are ok, thin, cut well, but are bulky. (3 🌟' s) But the price is right and replacing isn't a twist in the gut. I know these are cheaper priced shears and they work great for the $. I like a longer shear and these fit the bill. I have small fingers and the inserts are perfect comfort wise (ring finger size 5). I also am not a fan of the tension knob that sticks out many shears, because of how I cut, it gets in the way, which is why I chose these for their sleekness. If I were to reorder from this brand I would go back to spending the money on the $80 ones. And I now bring home my tools! We will se how these hold up on a daily basis. Hope this helps!

I am not a professional hair stylist or barber, but I have cut hair for over 50 years. Therefore, I have purchased and replaced a few (many) hair scissors. These are my favorite and the first for which I have written a review. They are comfortable to use, good weight, well- balanced, very precise and smooth cutting.Includes soft rings to fit the finger holes to the user's size, and extra threaded "stops" to keep blades aligned when they wear/ flatten with long use. I don't expect to need to replace these soon!

I finally caved and spent some real dollars on hair cutting tools. These scissors were kind of an impulse buy. When I got them out of their nicely presented package, I was impressed by the little card that explained how to balance them and keep them aligned. Snipping the first hunk of hair made me realize how BAD my old scissors really were! These just snipped through like it was air. No tugging or snagging or sawing away. I plan to be a little better about cleaning these and keeping them in their supplied holster.

Very high quality and sharp scissors. I don't know why I bought this, my wife was looking for these kind of scissors in Walmart so I thought I'd surprise her with some high quality scissors. Backfired, now she won't use them because I spent too much on them and I'm bald.

These are the sharpest hair scissors I ever used. I often trim my own hair; I’m not a beautician, but have to trim my hair every now and then, as opposed to paying $150.00 for a good trim. And, boy! Are these good! So sharp! Did the job quickly, and cut my hair so well! I definitely recommend!
