High hopes dashed
2.5 stars for me. I was a huge fan of the old formula and was disappointed when it was discontinued a few years ago. I haven’t found anything even close to being as good for my curly hair ever since. I had high hopes that this would work just as well, since the consistency seemed almost identical, however that was unfortunately where the similarity ended. This did not create a cast for me at all and I just did not get the definition that was so incredible with the old formula. Additionally, where using the old formula my hair would look better the second day after styling, this one left my hair a mess on the second day. I’ve styled with it twice since purchasing and both times was really disappointed. I guess I’ll keep trying and adjusting how I use it, since I’ve got a good 900ml left. I don’t know why brands do this. Like the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don't fix it!

Works Great and Smells Nice
This gel works really well for defining and holding my hair without any crunch or stickiness. It gives a soft, flexible hold and adds a nice shine without weighing my hair down. I also love that it’s alcohol‑free and doesn’t cause flaking. My curls stay in place and look smooth all day. Great styling gel.

My holy grail gel – 4+ years and I’ll never switch!
I can’t live without this Biotera gel! I’ve tried many more expensive and famous brands, but nothing works as well on my curly hair. I’ve been using it for over 4 years and have no plans to change. It gives great definition and hold, leaves my curls soft and bouncy, never dry, crunchy or hard. Zero frizz, beautiful shine, and it’s alcohol-free so it doesn’t dry out my hair. Best gel I’ve ever used, hands down. Highly recommend for curly girls!

YES! GET IT!
It smells like Matrix but does not hold up like it BUT I would buy again because of the price but it is not a crunchy as I like it so if you like a soft hold this is perfect for you. It can flake a little but not first day.

Good product. I wouldn't say it's great but that's just for my hair. My hair is fine and thin and this falls flat. I still have to use another product to plump up my hair. Probably would not buy again
