These straps are excellent. Bought them after the shorter Thule ones didn't fit around my Canoe. The rubber behind the buckle is great and they are very sturdy. I highly recommend them

At first glance I thought this might have been a little less than I needed but after using it, it's become a new favorite strap for those times when slack might let hooks drop - this stays attached. It's very strong and I like the cam mechanism a lot. It's a little different at first, but it's easy to master. One of my favorite uses is strapping gas cans in the back of my pickup; I loop it through the two tiedown loops on each side, through the handles on the gas cans and cinch it down. Nobody moves and I don't worry about a hook becoming loose with gas cans sliding all over. They are of course a myriad of uses for these and I need to get some more. They're great for anything where you need a loop with a cam instead of the plain hook cam straps. Great stuff.
