Zylkene is developed to help anxious dog to relax in stressful situations. I bought this for my rescue dog who was very frightened of any new situation, be it people, trains, or outdoor places. Zylkene was recommended by my vet, but you have to start giving it a couple of days before the stressful situation. So if you are going on holiday on Saturday I would start with Zylkene on the Wednesday as it takes a couple of days before it works properly. She would then be much more relaxed and less stressed and I will give Zylkene a couple of days after as well so she can get used to the new surroundings. Only downside I find it expensive.

Brought this product to see if it’d help my springer spaniel’s anxiety during the new year with all the fireworks going off, seemed to work a bit but I wasn’t officially sold on it until workmen came to replace our windows today, my boy was getting very stressed, having difficulties with his breathing and I was getting really concerned but then I remembered I had some of these left so I gave him one, they kicked in pretty quickly, he’s no longer barking his head off, was able to go out and pee, is breathing normally and cuddling up with my younger brother for his regular nap even with all the noise and chaos. They’re not a permanent solution for anxiety but work amazing in unplanned noisy situations such as this. I would definitely recommend!

don’t know if things like this really work, they didn’t work for my little Jack R. Started giving them a week before bonfire night, but he still lost his mind.. now I’ve given 1 star for scent because why would I smell them and same again 1 star for flavour… COME ON AMAZON why would you have star rating for that, DO YOU WANT YOUR CUSTOMERS TO TRY THEM FIRST??

This has been a game changer for my anxious dog who barks every time she hears a noise or sees ANYTHING out of the window. It took a week or two to kick in but she was so much calmer. I was unsure if this was definitely the reason for the change but we ran out of these at one point and so she was off them for a few days and the pacing and barking and anxious behaviour all came flooding back almost straight away so we definitely know this has made a difference. It also seems to have improved recall as she’s not constantly on high alert when we go out for walks. It’s an expensive medication to take every day though. I’m not sure if we will keep her on it long term but it seems to be a good tool to help her focus whilst we find other ways to both train her and reduce her anxiety.

For my older dog, who had symptoms very much like dementia, these have made such a difference. He did have episodes during the day, but night time was always the worst. He would wake up panting, pacing around, anxious, and nothing I did seemed to settle him. It could last the entire night. Since trying these, the change has been amazing. We’re all finally sleeping through the night again, with no constant pacing or barking. They are pricey, but for the peace and a full night’s sleep, they’ve been worth every penny.

Unfortunately, another calming supplement that hasn't helped our Collie. He has a fear of the Wheelie bin truck, and when the bins are moved around and emptied. We've tried everything over the counter to help him...plug-ins, CDs, sprays, sticky pads, creams, ointments, treats and tablets, and he still shakes like mad when he hears them, even though we have music turned up loud as we dare, without annoying the neighbours. But, when we wheel the bins from the back garden to the front, for collection, he'll run along with us! So unfortunately, more money wasted.

I was sceptical about this but also keen to find something which didn’t involve a huge vet fee before going down that route! However, scepticism firmly put in its place - our dog who usually really suffers with fireworks (barking, dribbling, shaking so much he falls over 😢 ) has so far slept through three separate bouts of fire works! What is this magic??!! I guess bonfire night will be the true test but so far we are really impressed! He’s a tinker when it comes to meds, so we open the casing and tip the powder in with some wet food and mix it up, easy peasy.

Bought for my rescue dog who was traumatised by fireworks 2 years ago when some youths started letting them off right beside us in the street. What I have noticed after giving this product to my dog for one week, along with a lot of training is… 1 - she recovers quicker from a stressful situation. Instead of wanting to hide for 3 hours after a firework goes off, she’ll be back to sitting on her bed after 30-45 mins. The initial reaction is the same, but the recovery is definitely quicker. Instead of spending the whole evening then on high alert listening intently for any bangs, she will return to her normal self within an hour or so. 2 - if we are out walking & a random firework goes off, she’ll still tremble & be scared/unhappy. But we can continue on our walk (albeit cutting it shorter when she is so unhappy) without her dragging me towards the safety of home in a completely panicked state. 3 - fireworks in the far distance still get her attention. She’ll stop & listen, but she’ll continue her walk without too much drama. 4 - she is the fussiest dog I’ve ever met but she eats the powder from the capsules no problem at all. Don’t expect to give your dog these pills and all their problems to magically disappear. But I think they have made a difference to my very nervous little girl. I will continue to give for the next few weeks over firework season & hope she can continue to be a bit more positive around bangs. Hope this helps anyone considering buying 🙂

La mia cagnolina ha paura di tutti i rumori forti, gliele ho.prese per questo motivo, per cercare di farla tranquillizzare un po'...non fanno miracoli, ma un po' aiutano...

Unsere Katze aus 3.Hand hat vor sehr vielem Angst, ist leicht reizbar und traut sich selbst oft vieles nicht zu. Die Tabletten wurden uns das erste mal vom Tierarzt mitgegeben, ich war wirklich sehr skeptisch wurde aber nach einer weile der Einnahme positiv überrascht. Mein Freund meinte erst noch das die Tabletten nichts helfen-nachdemwir Sie dann wieder abgesetzt hatten wurde uns erst klar wie sehr sie tatsächlich helfen. Wir geben Ihr jeden Tag etwas ins Nassfutter- bei den 225mg Kapseln nur jeden zweiten Tag. Veränderungen: Unsere Katze ist neugieriger, traut sich mehr zu und kommt mittlerweile sogar aufs Sofa und lässt sich an der Backe streicheln. Sie kann mittlerweile auch mal liegen bleiben wenn man an ihr vorbei läuft (davor ist sie schon aufgesprungen wenn sich 2m entfernt etwas bewegt hat). Das Reizbare gegenüber unserer anderen Katze hat sich auch etwas gebessert wird aber vermutlich nie ganz gut werden (wir können ja auch nicht jeden leiden). Fazit: EIn Versuch ist es aufjedenfall wert.
