Dyson Airblade V Hand Dryer – HEPA-Filtered, Touch-Free High-Speed Commercial Washroom Dryer, Energy Efficient, Sprayed Nickel

We too have these at work, and they dry my hands several times a day in about 20 seconds, I do not smash my hands against the wall, and the blast of air is wide enough and strong enough. They do need to be mounted correctly so that your hands are facing down when you use them though. Only draw back is the cost - too much to give it five stars, but you do get what you pay for...

We have these at work as well as the larger Dyson Airblade dryers and they are both simply awful. It takes 2 times longer than a traditional dryer to dry your hands on both of them. These ones are particularly terrible because of the odd slanted design with narrow air flow of the two streams that come out at a strange angle. With a traditional hand dryer you simply have to cup your hands in front of them and the air takes care of the rest but these dryers force you to put your hands at odd flat angles and move them back and forth several times taking much longer to dry than a normal hand dryer. These things are basically reinventing the wheel but making the wheel have flat spots and wobbly in the process. Having to use these things had put me off buying anything from Dyson (not that I ever have). Thinking "differently" and over-engineering something that works well in the first place is a completely superfluous choice. I'm assuming these also cost much more than traditional dryers, so you get to pay Dyson for the privilege of pulling the wool over your eyes as well.

We have these in our office at work and I have to say they are thoroughly disappointing. Seeing as I always look for reviews on Amazon, I thought I would write a review here, so that similarly minded folk can read an impartial review of this. There are several problems that lead to this being only 2 stars for me: 1/ The design is seriously flawed - Normally Dyson design is great. But this is an exception. The units are relatively narrow, and so while I have normal hands, the push and pull motion is awkward because you hit the wall with your fingers. And you end up splashing the entire wall with water. It is a poor design. 2/ The Jet is too narrow and doesn't work very well - It doesn't feel strong enough. You virtually have to touch the machine while doing the motion to feel it. It isn't strong enough. The beam of air needs to be twice as wide and much stronger. 3/ It isn't hot enough and doesn't dry your hands properly - This leads to the greatest fault of what is after all a (very) expensive hand dryer, namely that your hands NEVER get dry when using it! I always end up either drying my hands on my trousers at the end, or having to have a second cycle (where there is an annoying five second gap before you can start another cycle), because your hands are never dry when it completes. It is extremely annoying to use. If you are considering buying this machine. Don't. I admire the original hand dryer that Dyson brought in. I think it is fair to say that it revolutionised the hand-drying sector, because all the incredibly weak hand dryers had suddenly up their game to compete. But the fact is that they have upped their game! There are now a lot of other makers that do 'Turbo' style dryers with very strong air blasts that do a much better job of drying your hands then this Dyson, which is now way behind the curve ball I would say. This needs a complete design overhaul, because it simply isn't fit for purpose any more I'm afraid, and there are much better hand dryers available, for considerably less money.

El secador de manos Dyson tiene una gran potencia de secado. Seca las manos en pocos segundos. Ademas cuenta con un sensor que acercando las manos se enciende. El diseño es muy bonito, la instalación fue fácil. No tiene unas dimensiones grandes.
