Rearview Mirror Adhesive, Adhesive .3ml/Primer .6ml (81844)

I bought this to remount the mirror in my 2010 F150. I had to purchase a second pack because, like and idiot, I mounted it upside down the first time - even after taking extra precautions to make sure it was oriented correctly too. Oh well. One thing to note, there is no "adjusting it into position" after it's in place. Once you touch the mirror mount button to the windshield it sticks pretty much instantly. Other than that mishap the glue works well and is easy to use. It comes with everything you need to do the job other than a blade to scrap off any old glue. The instructions are good and if you follow them you should have no problems...well as long as you have the mount in the right direction that is !! The entire process takes maybe five minutes. Note: If you do happen to make a mistake, you can remove the mount buy heating it up. I used a long igniter and it took only a few minutes for it to come loose...so I could go at it second time.

I did everything I could to ensure a strong bond - sanded both surfaces - cleaned both surfaces with alcohol - following application instructions, I also held the metal piece to the glass tightly for over 3 minutes, then taped it - left it to cure for several days before installing mirror back on. After 3 Months, I got in the car one day to find the mirror dangling. The only other thing that might have helped would have been to do it when the weather was warmer. It was probably ranging in the 50-70F range when i installed. The air temperatures when it fell off were 60-85 during the day. I also keep a windshield cover to keep the internal temperature in the car lower. I don't know if I was sent old ineffective product or if I could have done anything else. I am going with a different product this next time.

I normal wait a little while before I write my product reviews just to make sure the product doesn't break or disappoint after a week...However, this product works just as fast as it took to open the packet and read the instructions. I don't know what type of chemical adhesive reaction is created after this product touched the glass but I could tell INSTANTLY that the permatex was working and this was the correct purchase option. I even dropped the metal hanger and the oil adhesive did not stick to me or my clothing. It wiped right off. But when I re-applied it and placed it on the activated area of the windshield glass it bonded immediately. Incredible! I naively tried to hang my mirror with other adhesives first which all failed, and I wish I would have just used permatex to begin with. Still its done and I'm more than happy with the results. Best $4 I've ever spent lol!

My rear view fell off so I bought this kit because the reviews were pretty good cleaned my glass really good with a razor alcohol glass cleaner then wiped it with a dry clean towel then cleaned the button and corse sand paper used a sharpie trashed the out side old button mark before I cleaned the glass did everything the directions said to do the only thing I did different is I let it set for 7 hours will see if she holds probably should wait a few week to review so that 4 star is not accurate only time will tell good luck at least the price is good 👍🏻

it worked easy 3 weeks and counting

This was easy to use on my mirror for my truck. Good quality glue for the price.

I was hoping for five stars coming from a name brand as in this company. However, the product failed to hold and my mirror fell off again. I did all it said in the instructions too. I even tried 3M and lasted a little bit longer then came off as well. Got to find out what my cars manufacturer uses, hopefully then it will stay put for good.

Worked well for glueing metal to glass

This product is not doing its job. I bought it trusting the product description to stick my rear view mirror on the windscreen glass. I did it as per the instructions but it came out next day. Really i don't recommend because you can't return the item as it is a glue for 1 time use. I will raise a complaint to Amazon.
