Q: What makes this filter better than other brands?

I’ve not seen other brands but this one is of very high quality and made in the USA.

Q: How does this compare with the Able Disk Fine filter?

Able seems to be fine while this is a little finer. Over time the holes will get clogged on any mesh. They also Lazer etch their logo on the holes creating a weak area; mine has cracked there as have others. I recommend paper after using metal mesh.
