SPY x FAMILY: Season 1 Part 1 [Blu-ray]

This product comes with both DVD and Blu Ray, containing 12 episodes. Both dubbed and subbed. There is another dozen set of episodes for this season, but you’ll have to purchase those in a separate product, which is currently NOT available at the time of this review. I recommend to any anime consumer to purchase a physical copy of any and all anime franchises you enjoy. All western anime distributors deal with limited-licensing issues which makes future access to any one particular anime via digital media, problematic. A spy on a mission, an assassin needing a cover story, an action starved telepathic child, and an incredibly entertaining adventure. Circumstances for a stoic spy cause the need to manifest a family out of thin air to complete his mission. Leading to a combination of, shall I say, unique characters to fill the role. Next is a deadly, yet softhearted assassin needing a boyfriend to remove suspicion from gossipmongers, and just so happens to stumble into a marriage. Then there is the cute little telepath, in desperate need of entertainment and family. Everyone is on their own program, yet are a brilliant combination for an action-packed adventure. This is an anime worthy of anyone’s collection. The characters are fantastic, the environment/music is brilliant, and the story is wildly entertaining. The creator took a bunch of random elements, put them in a blender and produced a fun and cohesive franchise. You got your action, a touch of romance, family element, and comedy gold. Its great! I even got non-anime fans enjoying this show. There is a lot of source material to work with, and thanks to the success of this anime, we are looking to have multiple seasons produced in the future. They are already in production, so enjoy!

I find Spy x Family to both be cute (because of Anya) and funny (of course). It is a great anime. Personally, I'd prefer to buy the entire season at once, rather than just part 1, but the Blu-Ray I received is in good condition and was what you'd expect.

I love this show. The sub, and dub are both great.

For those who avoid anime culture, I heartily recommend this series. It has that je ne sais quoi that the best animated family series possess. It is compelling and contains moments of joy and surprise. Not surprising that Spy x Family is a worldwide phenom. Can't wait for season 3.

Spy X Family is Awesome!

I'm a little on the fence about this one. When it first came out, I would've easily given it a five star review, but as the season has gone on it's become more and more episodic and less and less story oriented. It's still a fun watch, so I recommend viewing it at least once, but expect the story beats to never be resolved. And I mean never. The anime got popular before the light novels were fully written, which means it will likely be dragged out to the end of eternity.

Does the manga justice and follows the same story line. Does not disappoint

Like the title suggested it’s a really great show it arrived in excellent condition brand new in the wrapping paper with the slip cover. I don’t like how they packaged all three of my anime together ( I also ordered part two and akame ga kill which I also highly recommend) however I thought this this was an excellent show well worth the watch I just wish the loid and yor would confess to each other already. I hope for a season three, i hear there’s a movie coming out and I’m eager to see it
