Ekster Parliament Pop Up Minimalist Wallet for Men - Leather Wallets - Onyx

So I’ve always had a traditional leather bifold or trifold wallet in the past and they’ve been great...however I started having more issues with my lower back and one of the things that my physical therapist said could be aggravating it was sitting on my jam packed full wallet for long periods of time during the day. Just so happens at this time I was in the market for a new wallet, so I took this opportunity to look into the “minimalist” kind. This of course meant that I’d have to downsize...which I was reluctant to do at first because how was I ever to get along without the three year old business card of the AC guy that came out that one time...or the countless others...but one by one, I went through it all and came to the conclusion that I only really “need” my credit/bank cards, drivers license, various insurance cards, and opted for a type of tracking card incase I misplace my new wallet. I know that Ekster has their own tracking card, however I already had a Tile on my key ring and therefor was already using their app on my phone so I decided to give the Tile Slim a try (as it is about the size of two credit cards put together). So after doing days of research, I decided that the Ekster Parliament would fit my needs as a wallet I could store all my essential things in and also as one that would fit nicely and compactly in my front pocket. This wallet also has RFID blocking in the compartment that holds your cards...so that was also another ‘check’ this product had on my needs list. The wallet itself seems to be made really well and the leather is nice and soft (exactly the same as I’d expect to find when looking at a traditional one). The card compartment has a nice feature at the bottom where a simple push of your finger inward while holding, will make the cards inside stair step up to where you can choose the one you are needing at that moment. I’ve seen where others have said that the feature makes all their cards come up in a stack and all I can say is that this isn’t the case with the one I have. I would imagine the amount of cards in the compartment would dictate how it would work. I myself have five and some have raised lettering and numbers and some don’t. I have found that how far the cards come up can be adjusted by how fast you click the lever in. If I push it in slowly with little force, they will come up just enough to see what I need...however if I click it with a fast press, they will stick up to how they appear in my picture above. Hopefully this mechanism will last for the long haul...at its price, it should...but only time will tell. The only other thing worth noting is that even with the few cards that I have in the wallet, the ones that are not in the holding tray, it does make the wallet not want to close. I do see that the manufacturer states that this will be the case until the leather naturally stretches and takes shape, which makes sense, however even if it doesn’t, the pros of this product outweigh the cons to me and I wouldn’t send it back because of it. For me anyway, it only stays open a slight bit while on the nightstand instead of closing flat but when I put it in my pocket, it keeps it closed all the way. I have included pictures with my Apple Watch to show size of this product and also its size compared to the Tile Slim...which I keep in the back opening. All in all, I would definitely recommend this product if you’re in the market for a minimalist wallet but are still wanting that leather feel and extra storage that you would have been accustomed to with a traditional wallet. I will update this review if I start to have any issues with the mechanism or any other issue that isn’t self inflicted. Also wanted to mention that the wallet came in a nicely packaged black box that was plastic wrapped. If you receive one in which the box isn’t wrapped in plastic, I’d be weary that it is probably a return and would seek a replacement....just my advice.

Hello! Random TalesOfArk Review! So I got this wallet when it was on "sale". If you had bought it on their website it would've been a bit cheaper, and maybe would've came with a money clip, but I decided that I rather have 2 day shipping and Amazon Refund policy in case the wallet wasn't something I enjoyed or wasn't to my liking. Also for comparison I will also upload the wallet I was using before for 2-3yrs, that I got from Marshalls. So I been daily driving this for a week or so and it's been working great! I love how sleek it is and the color coordination is pretty good. Mines is like Gray with highlights of Black, and it's pleasing to the eyes, although some of you may not mind, but I do. Imagine if you had a pee yellow color with like hot pink (ew). Fashion is true end game. I prefer the Parliament, because I wanted something than just a hunk of metal/plastic in my pocket. So it has a nice cover where I can keep my most used card on the back, while I use the money strap to hold my ID for easy access. There are also 2 inside flaps that I use for like my Boba coupon stamp, and Zoo membership. I keep my not so used often cards in the "Pop Up" box, for like when I need them, but not cards that I would need all the time. So far the mechanisms for the pop up hasn't been broken yet, but then again I am not really playing with it. Oh the amount of cards I put in is like 4, so it's not at the limit. As for cards falling out, yes they do fall out, BUT you would have to shake it really hard. So I'm not sure why people are so upset about it, I don't see how in everyday life where you have to be shaken really hard and have your wallet out for you to lose your card. As for the leather material, LOOK. Real talk, I have no idea what leather, real leather, fake leather, psudo leather or whatever feels like or do I care really, so I can't really comment on that. Well can't really comment on much else since I tend to forget about stuff, but even if you buy it on Amazon, you can still get the Ekster 1-yr warranty. Although, it's annoying how they can't share with you their website, which seems really suspicious to me tbh, I try asking support but they're so vague about it like it was some kinda rules. All in all, I enjoy the wallet, what I would suggest for an upgrade, maybe a proper place to put my ID a clear flap or something would be nice. P.S: I'll update if anything bad happens with the wallet, if you hear nothing than it's still going good.

I have always used an old school thick wallet; George Costanza style. Never thought these small box wallets could ever work for me. But I decided to give it a go. I found I only really use 3 credit cards, my insurance card, my State License. All the store cards are now in my digital google wallet. And realized I dont need to keep 6 months of receipts in my wallet. I dont really need to keep any receipts. Most of them are emailed now or digital. So that leaves cash. This wallet is a nice compromise. It is small, but the leather wrap allows me to carry a few bills, and all the cards I need. It is much smaller, the flip up cards at a push button works great and does make it easy to grab a credit card when you need it. I was afraid it would be too small; but I find it to be just right. Very happy so far! I did a lot of research, cause this one is not cheap. Found there are a Lot of knock offs that are very poor quality. I found only 2-3 that are really high quality; and I like this style the best. Parliament.

I really love the products. Been using for about couple days. I really love and like how the products felt. I’ve been testing a bunch of wallet like this from basically all the brands on Amazon until I decided to spend this much on Ekster (I got a 25% during prime day as well so good for me). If you are some how find this comment, I hope it helps you to see if this is the product for you. 1. Looking at all the comments and videos, I think the reason why for most negative or low stars reviews because they might be hard on their wallet. I understand wallets and things you buy are meant to be use but did you really expect to spend $100 on a wallet just to abuse it? Keep things low profile and respect the wallets and It will last you. 2. For those who still wandering if the cards will fall or not. Check out my preview video. I did a shake test when stack 6 cards vs just only 4 cards. Even tho the cards did fall out but I have to really mean to shake it pretty hard and those 2 cards are metals (Amex Gold and Chase Preferred). Those are heavy cards. And with just plastic cards, it won’t fall out unless you intentionally shake it out. I did even with some basic day to day use like holding the wallet while jogging or running, pulling in and out my pants, running up stairs. During those activities, the cards won’t budge at all so I believe you would be fine 3. Since this it leather on the outside, please be mindful you will scuffs if you put it around sharp or hard objects. Even fake leather scuffs not to mention real leather. 4. This is meant for cards only so if you are using cash, 3-4 bills will be fine. 5. Don’t play around the eject button (I found myself clicking it like a lot first few days). After all it’s made out of plastic (but believe me, it felts better any cheaper options) 6. If you you find yourself don’t care much about protecting what you buy or you hard on your phone, don’t buy this. Find something cheaper so you can replace it. Reason I’m giving it 4 stars because I order Caramel but they shipped my Steel blue (but somehow it grows on me so I’ll keep it). The rest is 5 stars in every categories. I've always had either a bi-fold or tri-fold wallet that sat in my back pocket making it uncomfortable to sit. Also, keeping a wallet in my back pocket doesn't feel very safe when standing in crowds. Along with that, I was holding well over 18 various types of cards in my wallet...Too much! With phone technology such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, I decided I only really need to carry 1 debit card, 2 credit cards, ID, and a few others that narrowed my total card count down to 9. I spent a lot of time watching videos and researching compact wallets before narrowing my choice down to the Ekster Parliament. The choice of colors is great, and the quality of the leather doesn't feel cheap. I'm able to fit 6 cards in the aluminum ejection slot, 2 id cards in the outer slot, and I'm only using 1 of the inner flap slots to hold an insurance card. I'm also holding a couple of business cards and some cash as shown in the pictures. The wallet folds well enough; not completely flat but it does fit really well in my front pocket. The fact that this little wallet is small enough to carry in my front pocket solves the issue of me constantly taking my wallet out when I sit. I don't have to worry about it falling out of my back pocket and I am reducing the chances of leaving it on the table. I now keep my wallet in the same pocket as my keys. I don't take my keys out of my pocket often since my vehicle has remote-start which reduces any chance of my wallet falling out of a loose front pocket. I tried to shake out the cards kept in the aluminum ejector slot as shown in some of the videos I watched but they would not budge until I pressed the ejector button. The mechanism on this version of the wallet works FLAWLESSLY! Ekster did a great job of creating a small and compact wallet. The only hard part about owning one of these wallets is figuring out what cards are necessary to carry every day. I highly recommend this wallet if you are trying to decide on a compact solution.

You must be joking when you think I’d give this wallet a good review, the whole point of the wallet is for it to make things super accessible and easy to you. As you will see in this video I provided that is not the case. Not only is it failing to eject the card but it even fails to eject them all out. And those are the instruction cards!! The leather is good but the whole point of the wallet is to make things easy and accessible. This defect is a HUGE issue That needs to be addressed considering I took it straight out of the box and it didn’t even work. I also watched so vids from other people about their wallets and they received a plastic paper between the wallet fold to prevent scratching if the leather dying delivery. Mine was missing that but thankfully it wasent scratched or else it wouldent fall under warranty. Though it dosnt even matter because it seems like their customer service is lacking as well. I pried the card out of the wallet that gave me the contact info to contact them if I had problems or if it wasent to my full satisfaction. After I did so it told me I’d be helped in 24 hours. No big deal. But I get an email from a rep telling me that it falls under warranty and they would ship out a new one, then produced a name that wasent close to mine, just a matching last name. And a address that was 2 states away from mine. Not to mention phone number was incorrect as well. So I sent them the correct address as well as my actual name. They also asked for a video to see if the defect was an actual thing. Which I sent to them, no problem. I will not list the rep due to respect of privacy but they name will be know to Corporate offices if this issue can’t be resolved. I am still waiting on confirmation to see if I’ll be receiving a new wallet so this review is bound to change if it is taken care of. BUT if it isn’t and they wait till after the warranty is no longer valid, expect a really angry customer.

So far so good. It is as advertized. I searched for hours to get the best nimalistic wallet and decided on this one.

Despite enjoying the use of this wallet in the +1 year that I've owned this wallet, it sadly gave out on me and that's a sad thing since I paid (what I now believe) more than what the quality was worth. "Buyer beware" comes to mind - if you're looking for a great looking wallet for casual "upper class" lifestyle appeal, this may be a wallet for you. However, if you're a working class Joe and need a rugged wallet, I'd start looking elsewhere just because this wallet may leave you disappointed for the price point to lifetime of your investment. A few months ago I noticed the button trigger that unsheathes the cards got stuck on me. This probably occurs with lint or debris getting stuck in the mechanism, which is not ideal when needing to retrieve your payment method. Now, the final straw came (just yesterday in fact) when the trigger actually broke while pressing it. Since it's made of plastic, I'm not surprised but for the price... I'm a little taken aback and left disappointed. For such a pricey wallet, we should get a sturdier and longer lasting wallet. The leather is decent but overall craftsmanship is questionable. I'm now looking for a new wallet with RFID protection but with less gimmicks like a unsheathing mechanism.

For €100, poor quality!!! Do not buy this

With the move to a more cashless society this is a great way to store & hold enough cards for your everyday life. There is a strap for carrying a little bit of cash about but as soon as you get more than a few notes it does start to push open the flap. The few slots in the flap cover isn’t really suitable for cards although they do fit but it opens the door slightly. It is a great little size and works well I would recommend it although it wasn’t the cheapest it does seem to be well constructed and has performed well for the past few months that I have been using it.
