Better than expected.
I was going to return it because the suction cup kept letting go every 5 or 6 slices. I thought laminate countertops would be smooth enough but it turns out you need to add a little more water on the counter top and it sticks like glue. It's a little too flimsy to cut Prosciutto paper thin, but hard salami like Capicola or Genoa, Summer Sausage etc. it cuts nice thin slices. Shaves ham no problem although like any slicer it works better when slightly frozen and firm. Which is why it's hit or miss when it comes to slicing cheese. For cheap blocks of cheese it cuts width wise OK, but the classic spatula style cheese slicer is going to be faster. But if you're cutting deli style cheese, like a smoked Gouda or Provolone it's going to cut perfect, full, deli style slices. It's too small to cut bread other than a baguette or a dinner roll. Lastly, if you want to slice vegetables thin with consistency this slicer works really well. You're limited to about 6" in diameter but perfectly sliced tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, carrots etc. are a breeze. My aunt has $500 slicer that's smaller than the one you see in stores but "professional grade". It's easier to use and cuts thinner, it has an 8" blade so you cut bigger things, on an angle but it's WAY harder to clean. This Starfrit slicer comes apart in seconds and rinses off easily, and I think it's even dishwasher safe. It's versatile and I can't wait to make beef jerky and have perfect slices for the first time. For the $20 I paid it was worth writing this review for. It takes a little patience to get the feel for it but unless you're preparing deli trays for a catering business skip the +$500 machines and just get this.

Duró muy poco
Me había encantado al principio , solo lo usaba para rebanar pan y a los dos meses se rompió la manivela mientras rebanaba pan, ojalá vendieran repuestos

Great quality and perfect for anyone who wants to save time in the kitchen
Pros: Lightweight but surprisingly strong, easy to clean, foldable, so it doesn’t take up much space and since it’s not motorized, I don’t have to worry about anything breaking. Honestly, sometimes I prefer the old-fashioned way. The blade works great! it’s really sharp. Cons: I still need to get the hang of keeping the food steady while sliding it back and forth. When the meat is really flat or tender, it feels almost impossible to hold the food and move the handle at the same time. Would I recommend it? Yes! Especially for busy moms who need something dependable and love to cook. Final rating: I’m giving it 5 stars. The quality is amazing, even though sometimes it feels like you might need two people when the food doesn’t stay in place.
