Avoid skin cancer - keep the sun off.
I used the cap for the first time on Wednesday in 30 C + temperatures, and I can honestly say that it did exactly what it was supposed to do. It retained all the advantages of a cap (a decent peak giving good eye shade), with the neck flap covering and shading both ears and the back of my neck. When the wind increased, I tucked the flap into the collar of my polo shirt to ensure my ears remained completely covered. The ventilation in the cap ensured my head remained at a comfortable temperature throughout.
